Question Knowledgeble Malikis/Asharis - What are the types of Kufr?

    Salaamu Alaykum Everybody.
I just have two points of confusion I want to ask about. Anybody (Maliki or otherwise) who is fairly knowledgable in Asahari Aqeeda can aswer it. It's about the topic/concept of 'kufr' in Islam, which I haven't studied before, so I've been posting a few questions on the forum lately to try to understand it; it's certainly an important topic.

Firstly, the different types of Kufr:

Q1. (i) Are there two types (akbar and asghar), then are there five types of akbar, or ten; (ii) What are the major types (divisions) accepted by the scholars of the Ashari school, such that any conceivable form of kufr (denial of the existence of Angels, istikhfaf, calumny against the Prophets AS ect. would fit into one of them)? (iii) How does kufr i'tiqadi, amali, and qawli fit into it?

Q2. Could you please list them, and give an example of each?

My last question is off on a tangent.

It is a confusion I have about people who have waswasa. If we imagine three types of waswasa, waswasa about Allah SWT, waswasa about Rasul Muhammad SAWS (including what He (SAWS) has told us of the afterlife etc.), and waswasa about oneself.

Regarding waswasa about oneself, I met a brother once who had waswasa thinking he wasn't a Muslim. He told me that he was getting thoughts that he might have done or said something before that took him out of Islam. If somebody asked him if he was a Muslim, he would say yes, but would go into an internal panic. Again, in Hazrat Maulana Yunus Patel Saheb's book about waswasa, one sister believed she was a mushrika (from her waswasa of imagining idols whilst praying).

Q3.(a) These two people seem to be in a sort of iman limbo - they are totally uncomfortable with the idea of being a non-Muslim, yet unable to affirm that they are Muslim (the brother thinks/believes he's a kafir, the sister a mushrika). I thought that one has to believe categorically with conviction that they are a Muslim (which the above two examples cannot). Isn't this a condition of iman?
    (b) What is the ruling of these two people (in iman limbo), kufr dhani (kufr of doubtfulness), another type of kufr, mu'mins?

I know it's getting close to the last ten days of Ramadhan. So everyone keep busy in worship, and if you don't have time to answer, please stay busy in worship instead.
    Please number your answers
    May Allah bless you all
Jazakum Allah Khayr for clearing up my confusion.
    Salaamu Alaykum
