Default Women have better qualities than men.

"What did the Prophet mean when he said he loved women as one of the 3 things he loved from the dunya"

"When the Prophet says he loved women, what he's saying is that he loved the qualities that women posessed. Women by their nature possess qualities that are beloved to Allah, while as men they have to learn those qualities their difficult to learn. One of them is Rahma (mercy) most women have Rahma and the womb is the source of Rahma according to the hadith, in this world. So women by nature have Rahma while as a man it's something that he has to really strive and work on to get. Another thing is women tend to be by nature humble - there is more humility in women - women are less tend to boast. This is known even in academia! Men tend to be more proud of their work and to make sure everybody knows what they have achieved. One of the scholars of Andalusia said that the meaning of that hadith was the greatest manifestation of Allah's attributes is in women. There are more divine qualities in a woman then their are in a man." - Shaykh Hamza

is that the only explanation/interpretation of that hadith?

and how can ulama be so sure thats what Rasulullah (peace be upon him) meant?

[ive always assumed that when the Prophet (peace be upon him) said he liked women it was bcos women are generally beloved to men in the duniya anyway...just a general love bcos solace can be found in them....]

Salamun 'Alaik. Look at the honour that Allah (Great & Glorious is He!) gave to women. When demonstrating Allah's (Great & Glorious is He!) Rahma, Rasulullah (pbuh) likend it to a mother's love for her child!

In sociology, studies also show that when families are going through hard times it is often the women who make personal sacrifices e.g. clothes and food, in order for their husband and their children to live comfortably. They also handle a 'triple shift' that is: emotion work, domestic work & looking after the children, and work outside the home. There are many more great examples.

All of these testify to the truthnes of this hadith. I recommend everyone to study Sociology.

    Salaam.
