New Darul uloom Deoband fatwa on Moon sighting explanation needed?

Does the following Fatwa of Darul uloom Deoband given to Molvi Yaqoob Miftahi of Hizbul ulama justify following Saudi Arabia for Ramadhan & Eid?

English translation of the Darul uloom Deoband Fatwa taken from the book "The Shariah Moon sighting salat times & astronomical facts"pg 25

Having studied the solar and lunar calendar as well as the causes
for changes in them and thereafter repeatedly studying the
Metone Jewish and Christian new-moon theory it has been
concluded that such calculations of astronomy cannot be used as
proof in Shari’ah and they cannot be used as a guide as well. The
rulings of Shari’ah are based on clear-cut and definite principles
whereas the hypothetical new-moon calculations are not definite
thus no ruling of Shari’ah will be based on it.

why can't people get it into their heads that the calculations are used as a guide as to when sighting would be possible. Sighting still takes place,but the calculations are used to determine when it would be theoretically possible to do so.

I cannot believe that fatwa is used to justify to follow saudi. Wifaq have never claimed to use calculations only.

I think the Fatwa is ruling out the use of the Metone and Christian New-Moon methods and not calculations per se. It says that these particular methods cannot be used even as guides:

he studied in jalalabad under maulana masehullah khan saheb...unfortunetely his views on moonsighting are incorrect....ilm wise he is nowhere near the giants of our country...im saying this whilst i live 10 mins away from him....the giants of our country like mufti umar saheb and maulana yaqub saheb have refuted him on many occasions....

It really is a joke (bigger then Millwall being in the FA Cup final some years back) that indirect/direct shots are taken by The Tabloid Monthly Redtop Calender that Wifaq/Batley are misquided/wrong.
