What is the diffrence between zionist and judasim?

Is the a difference between being jewish by faith. And being a zionist.

Because is understand there are jewish group who are against what is going on on in palastine.

So is there a diffrence between the two groups?

Becuase here in malaysia the believe if u a jew. That makes u a supporter of isreal.

I am really confused any ideas.

There's a huge difference between zionists and Jews. Judaism is a religion and Jews are one of the people of the book. We should respect Jews and interestingly enough Muslims and Jews are more similar in terms of worship and laws than Muslims and Christians. Judaism as the oldest of the three Abrahamic faiths (Judaism, Christianity and Islam) and has a long and rich history which we should respect. Bigotry and hatred against Jews solely because they are Jewish is unIslamic and disgusting.

Zionists are many times atheist and don't even have to be Jewish as there are many Christian zionists. Zionism is more about politics and nationalism than anything else. It's very important not to assume that all Jews are zionists as there are many, many Jews who hate zionism.

Also, at the beginning (end of '800), Zionism was seen in a very bad light by European Jews, who "fought" the ideas of T. Herzl in the World Jewish Congress.
Sadly, with the time, the persecutions in Europe (and the money), Zionism grew among Jewish community, but there are still orthodox Jews who are anti-zionist and denunciate it as an anti-Jewish modern nationalist ideology.
