As-Salamu 'Alaykum

I'd like to know some of the contributions of the Ahnaf towards the sciences of Hadith. It seems that the majority of the individuals, according to my limited readings, that contributed to the sciences were Shafi'is, and the list is pretty long, amongts them Hafidh Khatib Baghdadi, Hafidh ibn Hajar, Hafidh ibn Salah, Hafidh as-Sakhawi, etc. The only few names and works that i know of, and have seen printed work are those of 'Allama Lucknawi's commentary on Sayyid Jurjani's work, and Mulla 'Ali Qari's commentary on Sharh Nukhba. So if some of the brothers and sisters can possibly expand the list, it'd be greatly appreciated. I'm looking for classical works, i know of 'Allama Zafar's work as well as some of the other contemporary Ulema's work.

The reason for my asking this was i need to find out the Ahnaf's position on Ziyadatu at-thiqa, is it accepted or not? If someone can direct me where i can read up on the issue, i'd appreciate it.

Ma' Salama
