    As-Salamu Alaykum

La Hawla Wa La Quwwata Illa Billah. This is horrific stuff. May Allah have mercy on all those who fell victim to this and reward them with something better.

I have got a quick question though: is this Darul Ishaat linked to the well known Pakistani publisher Darul Ishaat?

    Jazak Allah Khayr.

@xs11ax: I know it has not much to do with this case, but just a sincere advice. Tell your wife to watermark pictures for preview purposes.

I am afraid i don't know the answer to this, but the first thought that came to my mind was: i wouldn't be suprised if these wicked people who steel logos and money from people who trusted them actually used a famous name of a publisher as well... just to increase their status, and hope that people will have trust in them as the name is familiar through a famous publisher.... that would fit into place....
The advice by our brother about water marking is an excellent advice! Pity it came too late in this case, but i think we all learnt from it now.

    Assalamu 'alaykum warahmatullahi wa barakatuhu

Regarding the issue with the logo we have emailed back and forth with the designer and have resolved any outstanding issues and misunderstanding with the logo.

The brother who started the thread he says that we are a fraudulent company its sad to read this, if we were a fraudulent company why then would we go out of our way to make sure the items got to the customer, we spent over £170
at our own cost and did all we can to keep him happy I can guarantee not many organisation would not have done that, we have got proofs the items have been posted out to him on 3 occasion and kept him informed of what was going on what more can we do?

We are sorry his experience with shopping at Darul Ishaat hasn’t been good, but we have done everything we can to get the products out to him.

We deal with hundreds of orders a day, mistakes some times will occur where no different to any other organisation, we do our best to resolve any issues as soon as possible.

Regarding the customer [name removed] (Fatou), we have emailed the customer back and forth regarding her order, we have issued a full refund on her order we awaiting the products to be returned back to us,
We have agreed to refund the cost of returning the product back to us and as a good will gesture we have sent out the correct product out to her free of charge.

we have been established for 4 years now, and our aim is to make sure we provide our Muslim brother and sisters with great books on various titles at very competitive prices, and keeping our brothers and sisters all our customers happy is at the heart of all this.

I hope this answers any outstanding issues and clears up any misunderstandings, we’ve got nothing to hide, if any body wants to speak to me directly about anything please feel free to call me on: 07737963357
i would be more than happy to answer any questions or email me directly on waheed@darul-ishaat.co.uk

This is what Waheed has posted about my order. I can conform to all of you that this post is blatant lie once agian as my order has NOT been refunded despite being assure by an email that it is going to be done today. Yes, it is true that they have confirmed in writing that my postage will also be refunded once i return the item, but it is understandable that i will not do so until i have the refund for the previous order. I also cannot confirm that i had received the correct order, if it was indeed posted it has not yet reached, and there is obviously a chance that this 'story' is made up again and nothing was infact posted to me.
And, as stated several times before, i did not exchange emails with Waheed until i after PayPal opened my claimed, and i joined this forum which obviously put pressure on Darul Ishaat. I tried to contact them for two months and never received a reply from them, neither did my phone calls got picked. Until i get a full refund, i will keep making sure that these lies are exposed, and no other customers are tricked.

    the designer is my wife.

darul ishaat has been using the stolen logo for 2 and a half years. if this had not come to my attention then we would not have received a single penny for this logo at all.

darul ishaat did not make payment for the stolen logo. they made payment for some recent finalised work which they requested (before we found out about the stolen logo). the money has been kept in lieu of the stolen logo. this is how we got our money for the stolen logo, otherwise we would not have got it all. there is still an issue about payment for the recent design work that has been completed. when will we receive the money for that?

And, as you might have noticed, quoting my full name in an online forum is not exactly a professional conduct, is it? I am not going to be silenced by that, but it shows you how unprofessional these people are - not respecting their customers' privacy and private details.
Please continue voicing your concerns, as we must not allow more lies to spread

Please see this very important link:
    http://www.sunniforum.com/forum/show...437#post343437
I am quite sure that Darul Ishaat are hoping that it got forgotten, however it is not difficult to find it through defending-Islam's profile what all posts he posted.
In this link you can see that Waheed was posting contributions in a forum where concerns about the bookshop were raised, and pretending that he was not part of Darul Ishaat but was defending them as he knew 'they were hardworking and honest people'. He was doing that in order to ridicule those genuine complaints and concerns by other Brothers. This is really shocking, and the posts go back to 2008 so we can see that these mistakes that Waheed refers to are not accidental. It is actually a very regular rip off.

I am pleased to let you know that the amazing people behind this sunniforum have already removed my full name from Waheed's post as per my request. I thank them from the bottom of my heart for being so professional (and quick!).
May this serve as an example to Waheed that his unprofessional conduct is not tolerated by this forum either.
