Question Car nsurance: Pros & Cons

I had a car accident on Friday someone went into the back of my car. After a few phone calls my car was picked up (from home) and a brand spanking new car was deleivered (at home) while my car is getting fixed.

I had to do nothing but talk on the phone. Didn't even have to leave my house.

    Pros:

    1) My car is getting repaired and I have another car to get by

    Cons:

    1) My reliance on Allah (SWT) is diminished and reflection upon my sins is affected BECAUSE everything has been so easily taken care of. If I had no insurance and no car to drive then I would have reflected more but since one phone call took away all my problems; I don't believe that I have taken this seriously

    2) The Repair company has estimated collosal damage while the actual damage isn't that much on the car.

What else can others think of? How does Insurance affect the greater economic system.

At the same time though, it's not as if you can drive without car insurance; it's illegal

In my case I am required to have Fully comprehensive but with certain older cars you can get away with 3rd Party only.

The repair bill on my car is highly inflated, I could have gotten the car fixed in about half (if I was doing it myself).
