Yasir Qadhi Exposed - new blog!

I found a new blog against Yasir Qadhi, his Muslim Matters forum, and Al-Maghrib Institute. This is the one-stop anti-Qadhi blog that all should read:

The position of MM reflects the view of many of its commentators — that Dr. Aafia Siddiqui is innocent of charges against her, and that injustices against her by the US government and others involved are the real faults in the matter.

As is typical in MM and among other Wahhabi-Salafis, they are quick to exonerate any Muslim charged in a crime (except sufi supporters, of course), even when they haven’t examined the evidence or seen the details of the legal case. Their forumla is simple. Any Muslim accused and arrested is innocent. Anyone involved in arresting the Muslim is guilty.

I don't quite understand why you take issue with that quote. Makes sense to me.

Did you read 99.9% of the rest of the blog? It's EXCELLENT.
It has refutations from Shaykh Abu Adam, GF Haddad, and others against Yasir Qadhi's articles and statements.

I highly recommend it! Don't listen to Wahhabis/Salafis....they obviously wouldn't like it.

Nice try with the ad hominem attacks, but this doesn't strengthen your position one bit. If you want anyone to take you seriously, you need to refute what Shuyukh GF Haddad and Shaykh Abu Adam 'said' against Qadhi and other Wahhabis. And this is what the anti-Qadhi blog is about.

Why should we all launch a concerted attack on Yasir al Qadi? I havent read his anti mawlid fatwa but I dont think that it will differ much from Mufti Taqi's fatwa on the same issue. We may disagree with him but I think that we are probably much closer in our opinion regarding this issue to Qadi than to the Barelwis. Allah knows best.

I'm not going to read that fitna. Do keep in mind that the mashhur opinion among Malikis and Deobandi Hanafis is to not celebrate the Mawlid, so you cannot criticise people for having that position. Shaykh Abdallah bin Bayyah has written that both viewpoints (with correct intention) will result in a reward.

It's not fitna. Students deserve to hear both sides of an issue in detail - not just one side. Emphasizing its impermissibility at the expense of its permissibility is disingenuous, at best -- especially when thousands of young and unaware Muslims are learning about it from him.

There are also other excellent posts on that blog in defense of Ahl al-Sunna that you should read before deciding to criticize, Insha'Allah.

I went ahead and read his thing about Mawlid and while he presents the view that it is a bid'ah and that he doesn't support it, he also presents the alternate view.
