The Ultimate Book
“A smartly dressed and well spoken man once visited the court of Mamon Rasheed. The Caliph was impressed by the visitor’s learning and invited him towards Islam. The visitor politely declined for he was a Jew and did not wish to leave his ancestral religion.
A few months latter the man once again visited the court and this time it was obvious that he had accepted Islam. The Caliph asked the man what had been the cause of his reversion as he had not been inclined towards Islam on their first meeting.
The man replied that he was a calligrapher by training and after the last gathering with the Caliph he had decided to investigate further as to which religion was true.
In order to do this he made a few copies of the Bible, the Tawrah and the Qur’aan and included minor alterations in each. He then put these tampered works up for sale to see what reaction he would get.
The copies of the Bible and the Tawrah were easily sold and no one even noticed the changes he had made.
However each time a Muslim purchased his copies of the Qur’aan they would return and say that there were mistakes within. Thus despite much effort the man was unsuccessful in selling any of the Qur’aan that he had made.
And it was after witnessing that he realised that indeed the Qur’aan was the real and ultimate book of Allah.”
