Default Seeking Islamic Education Abroad for One without a High school diploma?

    assalamu alaikum

I have a friend who is seeking for an islamic education. She has trouble finding a good place because she doesnt have a high school diploma. Due to problems she had as a teenager she didnt finish high school. She was like the smartest kid in her class so she does have the brains.

She really want to change her life and get to know more about her religion. She was raised in a muslim household but never received islamic education.

I am going to mekkah next year to study and would like to see her also finding a place also.

Going back to high school/adult education and studying the deen in her free time is no option for her. If she stays her im afraid that she will go down hill again. She really dislikes europe and would like to pack her bags and never return again.

She wants to become a quran teacher for kids in her home country (east africa) someday but in order to do that she has a long way to go and a lot to study.
Her parents support her decision and are sad that they cant find a mahram to go with her.

This is like my best friend im talking about I can not go to mekkah and leave her here. So I ask the forum members to please contact me if you know a place for a single 22 year old female without a high school diploma and who doesnt speak arabic. But who is willing to study 24/7 and is of good character.

How about studying in a Full time Islamic institution in UK or USA or South Africa? She may be closer to home and accesible?

It is very hard for a single Muslim woman to survive overseas not knowing the culture etc.

  4. FREE postage anywhere in the UK.

    Salam aleikum

I (we ) thought about south africa but couldn't find a full time islamic institution for women her age without the proper papers.

I dont think she would go to USA.

Maybe UK?? but where will they take her ( without diploma)??

I think that culture wouldnt be a problem. She has stayed in islamic countries so she knows about the way of life there.

I think Africa would be her number one choice!

Pakistan is expensive to fligh to 2 times a year. But if its cheap to live in it is possible.
But its good to know that there are options available.

My mother was just telling me that Im setting her up for a failure. That nobody wants a quran teacher without high school diploma?? Thats its better for her to do high school and after that an islamic university.

I personally disagree She is smart enough to train herself in the things she doesnt know. And maybe after a few years she can come back and do adult education if she needs.

    What do you guys think??

    Just seen this now...

I don't think that a High School Diploma is a requirement for studying Shariah in UK.

Honestly, I don't think anyone would actually care if a Quran teacher has a high school diploma or not, at least in the US.

I don't know how high school is in the UK, but it means practically nothing here in the US.
