List of Shia Converts to Sunni

Assalam o Alaikum

While doing some search on net i found a looong list of sunni ulema who ( supposedly) were converted to shiaism. The list can be found here

however no such list is present for shia to sunni converts.

i find it hard to believe. I have been in constant discussions with shias on some other forum some few years back and for me it is very difficult to assume that some one converted to shiaism after research based on Ikhlas.


Please share with me list of famous shias converts to Islam.

What would it matter. I guarantee you that there are shia who have become sunni and it makes no difference if people are famous or not. We need to snap out of the cult of celebrity. And what is important is your faith, not the faith of others, so what others are doing makes no difference. We stand with the truth even if it is against the whole world.

People won't like this very much, but the experience from years of research I have done, focusing mainly on academic research into Islam, is that the dogmatic formulations of both shi'ism and sunnism are historically unsupported. That is not to say that large parts of them are not correct, I just mean that both have certain doctrines that are clearly not supported by the historical records. The records could be mistaken, or simply things lost, or the doctrinal developments could have been fortuitous, but you are left with the option of relying on faith or showing the intellectual courage to look for the truth even if it is uncomfortable.

As a side note, from someone who went from being a sort-of sunni to a sort-of shi'a after years of research, trust me it is possible to a degree.

shias tend to focus on the historical aspects of islam and mainly the seerah plus khalifah rashidun period giving shia dawah. Its rarely about having superior beliefs or practices. This is why its good to have an excellent knowledge of the early history of islam if ur giving dawah to a shia and also ask your scholars how to deal with situations such as the fitna between ali (raa) and some of the other companions such as Muawiyah (raa) and Ayesha (raa) among others. They even accuse Ayesha (raa) of zina aodhu billahi minashaitaanI rajeem.

But probabily thousands of people convert too and fro all the time, some list of deviant sufis who became shia is hardly representatives of the population statistics. Shia are minority anyways.

On youtube there is a video of thirty shia students becoming sunni all in one go. I have a personal friend from bahrain who left shia for sunni as did his brother allahu akbar and now he's salafi. how often do you see Salafis become shia huh? Never happens. Who cares if some deviant crazy sufis become shia? Its their yawmil quiyama

Yes now a days due to ahlul sunnah dawah as you might notice that they are very much active in dawah, the effect on shias can also be seen... Most of time I notice that ahlul sunnah scholars give islamic lecture to people either they are shia, sunni, or even non muslims they base their points on tauheed and risalat, so that people should have better aqida....shias are active in giving lecture to people against khulfa rashida and companions of the prophet, which makes the speech rubbish...as they indulge more in to the history and neglect the sahi hadiths of the prophet pbuh.
In their every speech I think they seems it obligatory to denounce the companions (naozubillah) no matter what was the topic...I think they should be more concentrated on the teachings of Prophet Muhammad pbuh rather to spread the hatred for Hazrat Umar ra, Abubakar ra, and Usman ra. Because as they spread such hatred for companions they basically spread hatred for themselves

Hahaha...just wait a little you have no idea what is taking place right now in Iran and surrounding areas, latest statistics show the shiite numbers are reduced from 15% to about 12% and the twelvers probably make 10% of this and soon the number is gonna be 8% and then 6% just wait and see, let the Information which spreads on the Net do its work...as for shiite scholars who turned to ahlul Sunnah I've read many lists and the numbers are huge Even those from Ahlul Bayt like Musa el Musawi converted.
Iranian censorship won't last long you'll see they're already converting to sunnah in big numbers but many of'em conceal this because they'll lose their Jobs ect...

MashAllah by the grace of Allah , the sunni people are reverting to true shia islam in bulk. Many sunni countries that did not have a single shia previously (such as Egypt, Jordan, Algeria ,Tunisia, Morocco, Sudan, Nigeria,Senegal, Indonesia) have now millions of twelver shia. See below:

These are few links but there are alot more. Sunni leaders and sheikhs are fearful of the repid spread of SHIA ISLAM in their countries. Besides muslim countries , the SHIA ISLAM is also spreading in many African and South American countries as well.

allah will give victory to those upon the truth regardless of how large or small they are in number. Even if the whole world became shia it would not make an ounce of difference, in the end, the only people who will be left on the earth will be mushrikeen as all who have iman will smell a sweet scent and die. Do I care that 100% of the population will be mushrikeen? Not even slightly? All I care about is my own quiyama
