Is the soul distinct from the dead body?

Please, can you write about the proofs of a soul distinct from the dead body? This proof is only from revelation or it is from reason too? Some scientists say that our ego, intellect, will, are all existing in the organization of matter that disappear at death. So how we can believe in a punishment for the person after death?

If you want scientific proofs, there are to my understanding zero, since there are zero scientific proofs that the soul exists.

Looking for soul proof then you need to leave the body you will get the proof immidiatly with in no time fram. Goodluck for seeking a proof of soul.
