Assalam o alaykum,

I am not sure why Hujjat Allah al-Balighah was taken out of the nisab of Dar al-Ulum Deoband but I have heard from Mufti Saeed Khan Sahib many times that if this book is included in nisab there aren't enough teachers who are capable of teaching it. Understanding is one thing and teaching it is another. It is not the work of everyone to understand it and then teach it properly.

It was Shaykh al-Hind Mawlana Mahmud al-Hassan who said that it is my wish that books of Shah Wali Allah Dahlawi and Mawlana Qasim Nanautwi are included in the nisab. He said it is the most suitable way we can fight all new modernist fitnas in this age of technology.

I believe it was Mawlana Sayyid Abul Hassan Nadwi who mentioned that Hujjat Allah Balighah is a miracle of Holy Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace).

Mawlana Ubayd Allah Sindhi had learned Hujjat Allah al-Balighah directly from Shaykh al-Hind. Here is the famous chain of Hujjat:

Shah Wali Allah Dahlawi.
Shah Abd al-Aziz Dahlawi.
Shah Ishaq Dahlawi.
Shah Abd al-Ghani.
Mawlana Nanautwi.
Shaykh al-Hind.

yes it's called the conclusive argument from God. Also I believe Mufti Afzah Hussain Elias and his team is translating it with the commentary of Mufti Saeed Ahmed Palanpuri.

Hadrat Mufti Sa`eed Ahmad Palanpuri sahib wrote a commentary on Hujjatullahi-l-Baalighah named Rahmatullahi-l-Waasi'ah. Have there been any other commenatries written?

I have this translation and I loved reading it even though there are many parts that are not easy to understand.

Jazakallah do you know anything on maulana sindhis political thought and as to why shaikh kashmirirejected his ideas.

I would recommened Mawlana Ubayd Allah Sindhi kay Ulum wa Afkar by Mawlana Abd al-Hamid Khan Sawati. In this book he defends Mawlana Sindhi and answers some of the objections raised on him.

Can the Blessed Prophet sallalallahu alayhi wassalam perform miracles even after his death? I mean is that possible? I need to check with some deobandi brothers....

The translation of Hermansen is a direct translation of the work.

Could anyone, preferably someone who read it, explain what exactly is covered in the book The Socio-Political Thought of Shah Waliullah (ra) by Dr. Muhammad al-Ghazali ???

Is it an analysis of a certain portion??? Is it just a re-iteration in simpler terms for the layman of the entire book or certain portions of it??? Is the reading easily comprehensible??? Does it delve deep into explanations???

In first part he discusses different concepts and terms used by Shah Wali Allah Dahlawi in his various books like irtifaqat, alam al-mithal, arsh, hazirat al-Quds, Khilafah, Jihad, Hudud, etc.

In part two he discusses major books of Shah Wali Allah and gives brief summary and background.

In part three he quotes large passages from Hujjat Allah al-Balighah on various topics.

I personally find it really hard to concentrate reading books online. I prefer to have a hard copy or either print out the books available online.
