Default Salawat (durood) during wudhu: thawab or bid'ah?

I was recently told that one can recite salawat (durood) during wudhu if the correct prayers are not known by heart OR as a matter of preference. Is either true? Is it thawap or bid'ah?

Divine help means to have enough strength to do good deeds, when one intends to do.

Hay I had a similar question, but on some next levels...

When I complete or during my Wudu, I recite 'Ashadu Allah laillah ha illah hu wa ashdadu anah Muhammaddan abduhu wa rasulo'

My brother once told me, when ever we recite it, all our past good deeds, and bad one's are erased!

Is there any truth in this??

And Sister Kayra I don't have a clue lol sorry
