Studing at Abu Nour in Syria...?

As salamu alaikum.

I want to start studying arabic at abu nour, and I want to start as soon as possible maybe within a couple of weeks.
What is the situation in syria now... and can anyone give me general advice about the school...Also how much is the cost of living there for 1 single male per month... Im a swedish citizen I heard that there might be problems for americans and british but what about scandinavian people....
