Also, Is it o.k to for men to wear more than one ring, I heard our prophet (saw) owned one ring but hardly used to wear it ?

Eating and drinking in utensils of precious metals (in which platinum may also be included) is forbidden as it is a show of pride and exhibition of richness. All such actions are against the basic teachings of Islam. Precious metals should not be used for decoration either.

    Platinum rings for Men

Yes, platinum, titanium, steel and iron rings are permissible, no matter what the value. Even a ring made of pure diamond or any other precious material would be permissible. The only exception is gold rings which are absolutely unlawful. A silver ring on the little finger of either hand is sunna.

    Assalamu alaikum brother,

The fatwa you quoted is incorrect as far as I can tell. As far as I know no madhab has that opinion.

Only a silver ring weighing a certain amount is permissible. I don't remember the weight. If I find it and I remember I will try to post it here.

AskImam search is not working but see this answer for now:
    http://qa.sunnipath.com/issue_view.a...&ID=85&CATE=90

EDIT: I see that the answer you posted refers to Shafi' fiqh so it has no bearing on Hanafis. Moreover as far as I remember even Reliance of the Traveler mentioned apart from silver no other ring is permitted. But I could be wrong. But I am sure that only a silver ring is permitted for the Hanafis. I still did not find the weight. But if the non-silver ring is coated with silver then it is permissible as mentioned by AskImam - but their search is not working.

Regarding jewelry for men - only a silver ring is allowed - and everything else is not allowed.

Ahh yes, i didnt look at that.

    1. Men are only allowed to wear silver, hence, the wearing of platinum and white gold is not permissible for men.

    Salaam,

Titanium rings for men is forbidden too (http://www.islam.tc/cgi-bin/askimam/...10970&act=view) specifically in the Hanafi fiqh - I don't know about the other schools. I've also read that it's better to wear your ring on your right index finger rather than the left index finger (which most people where it on). It's good to be different

    Assalamu aliakum,

I don't know if diamonds are allowed or not. I will ask inshaAllah. But do men even wear diamond rings - isn't it sort of effeminate - no offense intended.
