Wahabbiyya attack Habib Ali al-Jifri

Asalamu alaykum,

The Wahabiyya will never cease to attack Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaah. Recently they have stepped up their attack on Habib Ali al-Jifri [May Allah preserve him].

The following is a short biography of the Shaykh:

Habib Ali Zain al Abideen ibn Addul Rahman al Jiffri

Habib Ali Zain al Abideen ibn Addul Rahman al Jiffri is from Tarim, the valley of scholarship and light in Hadramawt, south Yemen. He took his classical Islamic knowledge from the great masters of the Ba'Alawi, including the late Habib Mashur al Haddad, the great Shafi faqir Habib Zain al Sumit from Medina and the great faqir and qutub Habib Abdur Qadir al Saqqaf. He teaches at the Dar al Mustafa school in Tarim. His commitment to dawa has taken him to all corners of the world.

Habib Ali is a young master of tasawwuf and a scholar in Shafi fiqh. His noble lineage extends through the line of
as-Sayyid al-Habib Imam Ahmad ibn 'Isa al-Muhajir, son of
as-Sayyid al-Habib 'Isa ibn Muhammad, son of
as-Sayyid al-Habib Muhammad an-Naqib; son of
Imam 'Ali al-'Uraydi; son of
Imam Ja'far as-Sadiq; son of
Imam Muhammad al-Baqir; son of
Imam 'Ali Zaynu'l 'Abidin ibn Husayn; son of
Sayyidush-shuhadaa Imam Husayn ibn 'Ali ibn Abi Talib; son of
Sayyidina 'Ali al-Murtada, and
Sayyidatun nisaa Fatima az-Zahra the daughter of'
Habib u'l A'zam, The Leader of all the Prophets, Sayyidina Muhammad ibn 'Abdillah (sallalaahu alayhi wasalam).

A Wahhabi by the name of Hasan Qari al-Afghani has attacked Habib Ali.

A Bahraini based graduate from al-Azhar: Habib Abdar Rahman Sallami has written a counter reply by the title: Al-Jifri fil Mizan, printed by Maktaba al-Wataniyya and it has just been released.

For your information, the wahhabi in malaysia is attack Habib Ali and still doing that until today...using their website, al-ahkam.net.

they said that habib ali has a big conflict with mufti syafie in Damascus,his name is Syeikh Qurayyim and he is still alive. they said that many ulama in Syria dislike him except the tariqat.

they also said that an ustaz, Dr.Mustofa Sa'id Khan(according to the website) from Syria has taqdeem a book 'Ila Aina Habib Jufri' which is written by ??? (they didn't mention the author's name).

they said that the author has attack habib ali according to habib ali's book(also dont mention which book)..he attack him word by word...

so i hope someone out there (especially in Damascus) can explain is it true what is mentioned above or it just a fitnah?and what is the solution to stop it?

I fully understand respect and revere the fact that he is from Ahlul-Bayt but is he a scholar of great and undisputable repute in the Shaf'ae Madhab? What is his rank in Tabaqatus-Shaf'aiyya?

I am again at pains to point out that it is not my intention to hurt people's feelings; I am merely asking a question and NOT in anyway disrespecting him.

Al habib ali Jufri never claim that he is a scholar of great calibre or a Mufti in the shafii madhab.

he never claimed that, and it does not give fatwa or really seldom.

the majority of its speeches are on ihsaan, tazkiya, what occurs after death
love of the prophet and fadhail salat, dhikr, tawba.

He is a disciple of the ulama of Tarim and the hijaz , so we are not to judge its level , but rather to analyze these attacks against him.

who are not attacks against him but an attack against the sunnism in general
