Supplications from the Quran
1:1-7 In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful. Praise be to GOD, Lord of the universe. Most Gracious, Most Merciful. Master of the Day of Judgment. You alone we worship. You alone we ask for help. Guide us in the right path; the path of those whom You blessed; not of those who have deserved wrath, nor of the strayers.
Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi. Alhamdu lillahi rabbi alAAalameena. Alrrahmani alrraheemi. Maliki yawmi alddeeni. Iyyaka naAAbudu waiyyaka nastaAAeenu. Ihdina alssirata almustaqeema. Sirata allatheena anAAamta AAalayhim ghayri almaghdoobi AAalayhim wala alddalleena.
2:127 "Our Lord! Accept (this service) from us: For You are the All-Hearing, the All-knowing.
Rabbanataqabbal minna innaka anta alssameeAAu alAAaleem
2:128 "Our Lord! make of us Muslims, bowing to Your (Will), and of our progeny a people Muslim, bowing to Your (will); and show us our place for the celebration of (due) rites; and turn unto us (in Mercy); for You are the Oft-Returning, Most Merciful.
Rabbana waijAAalnamuslimayni laka wamin thurriyyatina ommatanmuslimatan laka waarina manasikana watubAAalayna innaka anta alttawwabu alrraheemu
2:201 "Our Lord! Give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and defend us from the torment of the Fire!"
Rabbana atina fee addunya hasanatan wafee alakhirati hasanatan waqina AAathaba annar
2:250 "Our Lord! Pour out constancy on us and make our steps firm: Help us against those that reject faith."
Rabbana afrigh AAalayna sabran wathabbit aqdamana wansurna AAala alqawmi alkafireen
2:286 "Our Lord Condemn us not if we forget or fall into error; our Lord! Lay not on us a burden Like that which You did lay on those before us; Our Lord Lay not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear. Blot out our sins, and grant us forgiveness. Have mercy on us. You are our Protector; Help us against those who stand against faith."
Rabbana la tuakhithna in naseena aw akhtana rabbana wala tahmil AAalayna isran kama hamaltahu AAala allatheena min qablina rabbana wala tuhammilna ma la taqata lana bihi waAAfu AAanna waghfirlana warhamna anta mawlana fansurna AAala alqawmi alkafireen
3:8 "Our Lord!" (they say), "Let not our hearts deviate now after You have guided us, but grant us mercy from Your own Presence; for You are the Grantor of bounties without measure.
Rabbana la tuzigh quloobana baAAda ith hadaytana wahab lana min ladunka rahmatan innaka anta alwahhab
3:16 "Our Lord! we have indeed believed: forgive us, then, our sins, and save us from the agony of the Fire"
Rabbanainnana amanna faighfir lana thunoobanawaqina AAathaba alnnari
3:38"O my Lord! Grant unto me from You a progeny that is pure: for You are He that heareth prayer!
Rabbi hab lee min ladunka thurriyyatantayyibatan innaka sameeAAu aldduAAa/-i
3:53 "Our Lord! we believe in what You have revealed, and we follow the Apostle; then write us down among those who bear witness."
Rabbana amanna bimaanzalta waittabaAAna alrrasoola faoktubnamaAAa alshshahideena
3:147 "Our Lord! Forgive us our sins and anything we may have done that transgressed our duty: Establish our feet firmly, and help us against those that resist Faith."
Rabbana ighfir lana thunoobana waisrafana fee amrina wathabbit aqdamana wansurna AAala alqawmi alkafireen
3:191 "Our Lord! not for naught Have You created (all) this! Glory to You! Give us salvation from the penalty of the Fire.”
Rabbana ma khalaqta hatha batilan subhanakafaqina AAathaba alnnari
3:192 "Our Lord! any whom You dost admit to the Fire, Truly You covers with shame, and never will wrong-doers Find any helpers!
Rabbana innaka man tudkhili annara faqad akhzaytahu wama liththalimeena min ansar
3:193 "Our Lord! we have heard the call of one calling (Us)to Faith, ‘Believe ye in the Lord,' and we have believed. Our Lord! Forgive us our sins, blot out
from us our iniquities, and take to thyself our souls in the company of the righteous.
Rabbana innana samiAAna munadiyan yunadee lileemani an aminoo birabbikum faamanna rabbana faghfir lana thunoobana wakaffir AAanna sayyiatina watawaffana maAAa alabrar
3:194 "Our Lord! Grant us what You did promise unto us through Your apostles, and save us from shame on the Day of Judgment: For You never break Your promise."
Rabbana waatina ma waAAadtana AAala rusulika wala tukhzina yawma alqiyamati innaka la tukhlifu almeeAAad
5:83 "Our Lord! we believe; write us down among the witnesses.”
Rabbanaamanna faoktubna maAAa alshshahideena
7:23 "Our Lord! We have wronged our own souls: If You forgive us not and bestow not upon us Your Mercy, we shall certainly be lost."
Rabbana thalamnaanfusana wa-in lam taghfir lana watarhamnalanakoonanna mina alkhasireena
7:47 "Our Lord! Send us not to the company of the wrong-doers."
Rabbana la tajAAalna maAAa alqawmi aththalimeen
7:89 Our Lord! Lay open the truth between us and our people, for You are the best of all to lay open the truth.
Rabbana iftah baynana wabayna qawmina bilhaqqi waanta khayru alfatiheen
7:126 Our Lord! Pour out on us patience and constancy, and make us die as those who have surrendered themselves unto You.
Rabbana afrigh AAalayna sabran watawaffana muslimeen
11:47 O my Lord! I do seek refuge with You, lest I ask You for that of which I have no knowledge. And unless You forgive me and have Mercy on me, I should indeed be lost!
Rabbi innee aAAoothu bika an asalaka ma laysa lee bihi AAilmun wailla taghfir lee watarhamnee akun mina alkhasireena
10: 85-86 Our Lord! Make us not a trial for the evildoing folk, and save us by your mercy from people who deny the truth
Rabbana la tajAAalna fitnatan lilqawmi aththalimeen Wanajjina birahmatika mina alqawmi alkafireen
14:38 Our Lord! You truly know all that we may hide [in our hearts] as well as all that we bring into the open, for nothing whatever, be it on earth or in heaven, remains hidden from Allah
Rabbana innaka taAAlamu ma nukhfee wama nuAAlinu wama yakhfa AAala Allahi min shayin fee alardi wala fee assama
14:40 O my Lord! Make me one who establishes regular Prayer, and also (raise such) among my offspring O our Lord! and accept You my Prayer.
Rabbi Aj`alnī Muqīma Aş-Şalāati Wa Min Dhurrīyatī Rabbanā Wa Taqabbal Du`ā'i
14:41 "O our Lord! cover (us) with Your Forgiveness - me, my parents, and (all) Believers, on the Day that the Reckoning will be established!
Rabbanā Aghfir Lī Wa Liwālidayya Wa Lilmu'uminīna Yawma Yaqūmu Al-Ĥisābu
17:80 "O my Lord! Let my entry be by the Gate of Truth and Honour, and likewise my exit by the Gate of Truth and Honour; and grant me from Thy Presence an authority to aid (me)."
Rabbi adkhilnee mudkhala sidqin waakhrijnee mukhraja sidqin waijAAal lee min ladunka sultanan naseeran
18:10 Our Lord! Bestow on us mercy from your presence and dispose of our affairs for us in the right way.
Rabbana atina min ladunka rahmatan wahayyi lana min amrina rashada
20:114 O my Lord! advance me in knowledge
Rabbi zidnee AAilman
23:94 "My Lord, let me not be one of the transgressing people."
Rabbi fala tajAAalnee fee alqawmi alththalimeena
23:97 O my Lord! I seek refuge with You from the suggestions of the Evil Ones
Rabbi aAAoothu bika min hamazati alshshayateeni
23:98 And I seek refuge with Thee O my Lord! lest they should come near me
WaaAAoothu bika rabbi an yahdurooni
23:109 "Our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us and shower us with mercy. Of all the merciful ones, You are the Most Merciful."
Rabbana amanna faighfir lana wairhamna waanta khayru alrrahimeena
23:118 O my Lord! grant Your forgiveness and mercy for You are the Best of those who show mercy!
Rabbi ighfir wairham waanta khayru alrrahimeena
25:65 "Our Lord! Avert from us the torment of Hell. Verily! Its torment is ever an inseparable, permanent punishment."
Rabbanā Aşrif `Annā `Adhāba Jahannama 'Inna `Adhābahā Kāna Gharāmāan
25:74 Our Lord! Grant that our spouses and our offspring be a comfort to our eyes, and give us the grace to lead those who are conscious of you.
Rabbana hab lana min azwajina wathurriyyatina qurrata aAAyunin wajAAalna lilmuttaqeena imama
26:83 O my Lord! bestow wisdom on me, and join me with the righteous
Rabbi hab lee hukman waalhiqnee bialssaliheena
26:84 Grant me honourable mention on the tongue of truth among the latest (generations)
WaijAAal lee lisana sidqin fee alakhireena
26:85 Make me one of the inheritors of the Garden of Bliss
WaijAAalnee min warathati jannati alnnaAAeemi
26:87 And let me not be in disgrace on the Day when (men) will be raised up
Wala tukhzinee yawma yubAAathoona
27:19 "O my Lord! so order me That I may be grateful
For Your favours, which You Have bestowed on me and
On my parents, and that I may work the righteousness
That will please You: And admit me, by Your Grace,
To the ranks of Your Righteous Servants."
Rabbi awziAAnee an ashkura niAAmataka allatee anAAamta AAalayya waAAala walidayya waan aAAmala salihan tardahu waadkhilnee birahmatika fee AAibadika alssaliheena
28:16 "O my Lord! I have indeed wronged my soul! Do You then forgive me!" So (God) forgave him: for He Is the Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
Rabbi innee thalamtu nafsee faighfir lee faghafara lahu innahu huwa alghafooru alrraheem
28:21 O my Lord! save me from people given to wrong-doing.
Rabbi najjinee mina alqawmi alththalimeena
29:30 O my Lord! help You me against people who do mischief
Rabbi onsurnee AAala alqawmi almufsideena
40:7 Our Lord! You embrace all things within Your Grace and Knowledge, forgive those who repent and follow your path, and ward off from them the punishment of Hell.
Rabbana wasiAAta kulla shayin rahmatan waAAilman faghfir lillatheena taboo wattabaAAoo sabeelaka waqihim AAathaba aljaheem
40:8 Our Lord! Make them enter the Garden of Eden which you have promised to them, and to the righteous from among their fathers, their wives and their offspring, for verily you are alone the Almighty and the truly Wise.
Rabbana waadkhilhum jannati AAadnin allatee waAAadtahum waman salaha min abaihim waazwajihim wathurriyyatihim innaka anta alAAazeezu alhakeem
44:12 Our Lord! Relieve us of the torment, for we do really believe.
Rabbana ikshif AAanna alAAathaba inna muminoon
46:15 "O my Lord! Grant me that I may be grateful for Your favor which You has bestowed upon me, and upon both my parents, and that I may work righteousness such as You may approve; and be gracious to me in my issue. Truly have I turned to You and truly do I bow (to You) in Islam."
Rabbi awziAAnee an ashkura niAAmataka allatee anAAamta AAalayya waAAala walidayya waan aAAmala salihan tardahu waaslih lee fee thurriyyatee innee tubtu ilayka wa-innee mina almuslimeena
59:10 Our Lord! Forgive us our sins as well as those of our brethren who proceeded us in faith and let not our hearts entertain any unworthy thoughts or feelings against [any of] those who have believed. Our Lord! You are indeed full of kindness and Most Merciful
Rabbana ighfir lana waliikhwanina allatheena sabaqoona bileemani wala tajAAal fee quloobina ghillan lillatheena amanoo Rabbana innaka raoofun raheem
60:4 Our Lord! In You we have placed our trust, and to You do we turn in repentance, for unto You is the end of all journeys.
Rabbana AAalayka tawakkalna wailayka anabna wailayka almaseer
60:5"Our Lord! Make us not a (test and) trial for the Unbelievers, but forgive us, our Lord! For You are the Exalted in Might, the Wise."
Rabbana la tajAAalnafitnatan lillatheena kafaroo waighfir lanarabbana innaka anta alAAazeezu alhakeem
66:8 Our Lord! Perfect our light for us and forgive us our sins, for verily You have power over all things.
Rabbana atmim lana noorana waghfir lana innaka AAala kulli shayin qadeer
71:28 O my Lord! Forgive me, my parents, all who enter my house in Faith, and (all) believing men and believing women: and to the wrong-doers grant no increase but in perdition!
Rabbi ighfir lee waliwalidayya waliman dakhala baytiya muminan walilmumineena waalmuminati wala tazidi alththalimeena illa tabaran
