    Assalam o alaykum,

It is the new name of Sipah Sahabah. Sipah Sahabah was banned by Busharraf so they started to work under the name Millat-i-Islamiyyah. Busharraf even banned that name. Now they operate under Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jamah, Pakistan.

JAK Saad bhai for the clarification.
I was super confused because Barelwis love using this term.

    Assalam o alaykum,

Barelwis have a group named Sunni Tahreek. It was formed with Iranian backing to counter Sipah Sahabah. Beside that, Barelwis act as if they have monopoly over the word 'Ahl al-Sunnah'.

Sipah Sahabah doesn’t have purple turbans nor do they have any specific color for the turban. But most of their scholars will be seen in black or white turbans.

So basically they are barelvis but not mainstream barelvis?

    Assalam o alaykum,

I am not sure if purple turban is their 'salient feature' like Dawat Islami has green but their leaders seem to be wearing purple in every video online.

As far as I know they are mainstream Barelwis. There is nothing to support otherwise.

    Assalam o alaykum,

It wouldn't be wrong to say that from among the Deeni jamahs in Pakistan, Sipah Sahabah has the most number of followers or supporters.
