Arabic Calligraphy designing software?

Assalaamulaikuam!

I would like to create a calligraphic design for this ayah .

I have this lame Urdu/Arabic software which just about types in Arabic/Urdu but I can't do much else with the text in terms of editing. I need a software which will automatically convert plain Arabic text in to a calligraphic design. I'm not sure if any such software exists?

but it's too technical for me as it doesn't have a good GUI and is too difficult to use.

The calligraphy design for Quranic Ayats is extremely difficult. I really doubt you can find anything. However, you can add font effects such as 3D shadow, reflection, coloring, gradient, etc with the help of following software:

1. Al-Nashir software from Quran complex - free.
2. Ms Word or Power Point 2007. or
3. Adobe Illustrator CS3 Middle East Edition. -expensive.
4. Adobe InDesign CS3 Middle East with Tasmee. -expensive.

On the other hand, there are some supposedly good calligraphy software for other than Quranic calligraphy:

I have Adobe InDesign but I'm not sure which edition it is..InshAllah I will try experimenting with that. I've been using Adobe Photoshop previously but was looking for something which is specifically for calligraphic use. The Al-Khattat calligrapher looks promising will have to do some research on it first.

The picture you've shown above is a snap-shot of an actual Quranic text with OpenType fonts. Did you know that? It is written with al-nashir software which is free as I mentioned.
