Muslims try to pray in Spanish cathedral

Dear Ml eteacher,

What is the fiqh behind this ? I heard that we must seek permission to pray when praying on private property. Is this private or public property ? If public, are only those who pay for its upkeep (tax payers) or is allowed for tourists also who may/may-not be taxed for its upkeep.

Offering prayer at the expence of causing disturbance is not the best way to do dawah. This is another example of stupidity stemming from zeal. Cordoba masjid is out of reach. Untill the spanish people decide to revert to Islam. One may try to offer salaat but I would never do this if scuffle breaks out.
I can imagine authoritity introducing restriction where muslim will not allowed entrance.. Is this what we want.
