Imran Ahsan Khan Nyazee & his books
I just wanted to take a moment to recognize the hard work of our brother and Shaykh Imran Ahsan Khan Nyazee. If you are not aware he has expended a massive amount of time translating some of the major and important books of Islam into English. He has also written several books of his own which places the topics of Fiqh, Usool and Business into a contemporary context. He makes an attempt to provide a "baton pass" to the next generation of students. Amongst his translations are the following:
Bidayat al-Mujtahid by Ibn Rushd (This is like and applied Usool book and provides the strong opinions of all four schools on various masail formatted like a standard fiqh text it starts with Purification.)
Kitab al-Amwal by Abu Ubayd Al-Qasim Ibn Sallam (The Book of Revenues)
most recently..
Al-Hidayah (Vol. 1) by Burhan al-Din al-Farghani al-Marghinani (The classic Hanafi Fiqh Manual)
I recommend that you avail yourselves of these works if you are on the path of knowledge. May Allah preserve the brother and allow him to continue on with his valuable contributions to English speaking Muslims.
