Born in 1950 in a small village of Azamgarh UP. India, migrated to Bombay in 1967 after completing matriculation for further studies. His maternal uncle on reaching Bombay forced him to join his business. Instead of refusal he had to take the job, very soon he started handling his uncle's business at Musafirkhana Crawford Market Bombay.

In 1970 got married and started to go in tablig. In 1972 met Hazrat Maulana Abdul Haleem Sahab Jaunpuri and performed baite-tauba. In 1976 took responsibility of a maktab in Santacruz.

Finally set up business of ladies night wears in Santacruz along with his two brothers. And also with this he also started business of interior decoration and now Haji Sahab is reputed builder in Panvel New Bombay.

Almost 140 maktabs are under the management of Haji Sahab most of them are in remote area's and some are in hilly forests of Himachal Pradesh. A strong supporter of Tablig and a renowned Shaikh .

Haji Sahab has authorization (Ijaazah) from all the four silsilah (Kadriya Naqsbandiya Chistiya Saharwardiya) and also from Firdosi silsilah. When his Shaikh Hazrat Maulana Abdul Haleem Sahab passed away in 1999.He got baait to Mufti Mohammad Hanif Sahab Jaunpuri (DB) (now 95years) Khalifah of Hazrat Maulana Shah Wasiullah Sahab (RA) Khalifah of Hazrat Ashraf Ali Thanvi (RA).

Haji Sahab has balanced himself perfectly between Taalim, Tablig and Tazkiyah for which Prophet Mohammad (SAW) was sent.
What Haji Sahab says about Taalim, Tablig and Tazkiyah?

" Sabse pehle tablig mein nikla tablig mein nikal kar talab paida hoi,
phir amal karne ke liye masaail sikhne ki zaroorat mahsoos hoi tu ulama se raabta kiya,
phir jab Hazrat Maulana Abdul Haleem Sahab.ke paas gaya tu pata chala ke apne andar dil ke marz hai jinka ilaaj karna zaroori hai.
Talab paida karne ke liye tablig hai aur amal karne ke liye masaail ki zaroorat hai tu ulama se puchna hoga,
aur jab ye sab kaam karenge tu shaitan chood kar nahi jayega to dil ke ilaaj ke liye shaikh ki zaroorat hai
is liye sabse pehle number par tablig hai ke talab na hogi to na ulama ke paas jayega na kisi shaikh ke paas."

Assalam Alaikum.

Absolutely fantastic words from Haji Shakeel Sahab. Alhamdolilah, i am into Ilm, Jihad, Tableegh. But the amount of tazkiyya that i have observed whenever i am out in Jamaat is just magnificent. Tableegh is definitely the BASIS for all other efforts of deen.

I am always amazed, whenever i see the amount of people getting back towards deen and repenting due to the noble effort of tableegh. How Allah has accepted this noble effort, and how people from all walks of life are involved in the effort is just great.

I believe i have said earlier on SF, but i will say it again. The effort of tableegh has given me a soft heart and two eyes with tears.

May Allah accept me, my children, and the whole ummah for the efforts of His deen. Ameen.

Alhamdulillah I have had the opportunity of visiting panvel; I cannot describe in words the healthy impact of Haji Shakeel Ahmad sahab (DB) on the youth in that area; According to one old lady the area was full of vagabonds such that no decent female dared to go out even with their mahrams but now the area is full of bearded young men decorated with sunnah garments and their gazes lowered down. MashaAllah even though I did not hear any of his lectures my heart prayed for his well being and increase in darajat and barakat . May Allah keep such gems safe and keep us all under the shade of their duas.

tableegh is great...all efforts are great....the amount of people who have repented through tableegh jamaat is amazing mashallah. How many a wannabe gangster have i seen repent through tabligh...how many people into tasawuff have i seen who were first completely jahil...became tablighis...realized that tableegh does a lot of the job...but not the whole job (as tablighis themselves say that the 6 points is not complete deen) and then became great sufis...anyway respect to all efforts...whatever effort we do may ALLAH accept....ameen

Thats why i love spending time in indo/pak, you get to meet and hear about hidden jems, it reminds me of my ameer saab from aligar university in my 40day taskeel in india, he was mashallah a top bloke, who opened up the work of deen to us, ah those were the days..
