    Default my cupping experience.

i went to my first cupping session yesterday.

had it done on 5 different parts of the body.

the brother performing it explained that dead and stagnant blood cells accumalate in the capilleries near the surface of the skin. this stagnant blood is pretty much useless and takes up space which could be utilised by fresh clean blood. the stagnant blood also has an impact on the circulation of the blood within the body.

he made a series of shallow cuts on various parts of my body, then attached the suction cups and started drawing out the blood. at first a little normal blood was drawn out, after which dark congealed blood was drawn out. it was a dark purple colour and was jelly like. he did this a few times until the congealed blood stopped coming out.

immediately afterwards i felt relief along the points where the cupping was done. the targeted areas felt light and relieved of tension. a day aftewards i can feel the difference between the areas were cupping was not performed and where it was performed. the areas where it was not done feel tense and hot and heavy in comparison to the areas where it was done.

it took between 1 to 1.5 hours per person which also included about 20 mins to sterilise the equipment between each patient.

according to the brother, the best area for cupping is on the head, but he feels he is not experienced to perform on that area.

the brother lives in dewsbury but studies in bristol. he is available for cupping in both areas depending where he is at the time. we gave him £15 each but it seems he does not have a set price and can pay him whatever you are comfortable with.

cupping is a sunnah and emphasised by the Prophet and other Prophets (as) and ulama. you can search the forum for the hadith. if anyone would like the contact details for the brother then get in touch or if the mods allow me i can post his contact details here.

also for women, his wife also performs cupping for those women who would like it done.

from what i understood, it cleans the body of dead blood cells and toxins which are formed into congealed blood and deposited into the capilleries. as a result the part of the space of the blood vessels in the body is taken up by this useless congealed blood. by removing it, the available space in the blood vessels is increased which allows the body to produce more fresh blood full of healthy red and white blood cells which is more efficient in distributing nutrition and oxygen and fighting disease within the body. it allows the blood to circulate more easily in the body. cupping cures many ailments. brother tazkiyatalk practices cupping. he will be able to tell us more on the benefits of cupping. of course it is also a sunnah so there is the benefit of reviving and practicing a sunnah.

it depends on the size of cups used.

i went for the big cup. my cuts are about 3cm long. about 10 cuts per cup. the cuts are very shallow. almost like a scratch.

the marks fade in a week or 2. they are not permanent.
