The following fraud mail was sent to me in name of Mufti Muhammed Ashraf of Jameah Mahmoodiyah:

How are you doing?hope all is well, I"m sorry that i didn't inform you about my trip to England for a Seminar.I need a favour from you as soon as you receive this e-mail.i was robbed on my way to the hotel with my money/passport and other valuables. i will like you to assist me with a loan urgently. I will be needing the sum of £1,300 to sort-out my hotel bills and get myself back home.I will appreciate whatever you can afford to help me with, i'll pay you back as soon as i return. Kindly let me know if you can help me out so I can send you the details for making a transfer through Western Union or moneygram.

It seems nowadays fraudsters have invented a new tactic, they hack the email of a Mufti (who is using a web-based mail adress) then they send in their name fraud mails to persons in their adress book mentioning that they are at a seminar but lost or get robbed their money/creditcard etc and are asking for a loan through Western Union of Moneygram.

I hope brothers from SA can inform Jameah Mahmoodiyah.
