Default Calling out to the Shaykh for help, allowed or not?

I have read a few anecdotes here and there about Shaykh Abdul Qadir al-Jilani, rahmatullah , in which many a times, his mureeds would call out to him for help when he wasn't present with them. I do not know the authenticity of these stories. For example, if my memory serves correct, I think there was the case of a man who was traveling and was about to fall of his horse when he called out, the Shaykh appeared to him and saved him from falling.

My question is, how acceptable is this act?

    Salam Aleykum,

This is UnIslamic and Not Permitted at All, Would you rather call Jilani who is dead or call The Creator of Jilani who can hear you wherever you are?

The Beginning Of the Quran in the Fatiha States That "Thee (ALONE) do we worship, and Thine aid we seek." This is Allah's right upon us, We Worship only him and we Seek his Aid only and not the aid Of Jilani or Badawi or Khomeini or Ali or whatever...

The Quran is full of such verses:

[002.107] Knowest thou not that to God belongeth the dominion of the heavens and the earth? And besides Him ye have neither patron nor helper.

    Salam,

These stories are most likely fabricated by ghulat. How is it conceivable that a person who commits shirk would be able to communicate with a wali in such a manner (as this would require a karama)?

This is what I suspected, but nonetheless felt the need to ask.

    JazakAllah Khair to both.

    It is totally shirk.

There many stories and tales like this in books of tasawwuf or tabaqaat of sufis all are lies.

I advise you to not read such books and i advise you to cling to the Book of Allah subhana wa ta'ala and the Sunnah of our Prophet salallahu alayhi was sallam.
