Belief 1: Imam Mehdi,their last Imam (who is supposed to be hidden in a cave) will be back before Qayamah and will kill all Sunni Scholars first.
Beleif 2 : (Most surprising to me) : Every night of Lailathul Qadr Shia Imams have a meeting with ALLAH and get a complete list of all the births and deaths (FROM ALLAH) for the period covering from that night till the same night next year. Thus, Imams know what will happen to each of the people in the future.
"THE NIGHT BEFORE THIS MEETING, SHIA IMAMS SEE ALLAH IN THEIR DREAM AND ALLAH TELLS THEM ABOUT THE PLACE WHERE THEY HAVE TO MEET UP." Navuzubilla.......

These are the Beliefs of Shia twelevers (there are differect sects in Shias). A shia would normally not discuss his beliefs openly with a non-shia (except for few exceptions). They beleive in hiding their beliefs.
