victim of sihr (jadoo/magic)

QUESTION:
An aamil has diagnosed that I am the victim of sihr (jadoo/magic). To cure me of this calamity, the aamil says that 27 sheep and 7 black fowls should be slaughtered. I have to give him the money as he will be doing the slaughtering of the animals. What advice do you have for me.

ANSWER:
Give the deceit the boot. Don’t allow him to fleece you in this cruel way. He is a fraud out to fleece you of money. Impostors and fakes take advantage of the natural illnesses of people to extract money from them. They attribute every illness or mental disturbance to sihr. Most of them are plain fakes who create more imaginary ailments.

Yes Totally....And not to single you out brother -- if you are of strong Iman you shouldn't even be worrying about "magic" because it is not real! Yes, people do practice Sihr, magic, voodoo, and reading tea leaves ---- but it doesn't mean it works.

Magic is real, and it does work, but a lot of the time people might imagine any normal illness or any calamity that happens to them to be the outcome of someone doing magic on them, so we shouldn't fall into that trap. So you are right that we should have Taqwa and trust in Allah, and trust that He will protect us from magic.

It comes in Hadith that some of the shayateen climb up on each other until they reach the lowest levels of heavens, where they can hear the Angels. From here they can briefly gain some little knowledge, and then pass this knowledge on to fortune tellers etc. This is why many of these fortune tellers can occassionaly be right about a few things... but their knowledge is often haphazard as the shayateen themselves only learn a few things from what they overhear.

Vander Hoven, a psychologist from Netherlands,announced his new discovery about the effect of reading the Quran and repeating the word ALLAH both on patients and on normal persons. The Dutch professor confirms his discovery with studies and research applied on many patients over a period of three years. Some of his patients were non-Muslims, others do not speak Arabic
and were trained to pronounce the word "ALLAH" clearly; the result was great, particularly on those who suffer from dejection and tension.

Al Watan, a Saudi daily reported that the psychologist was quoted to say that Muslims who can read Arabic and who read the Quran regularly could protect themselves from psychological diseases.

The psychologist explained how each letter in the word "ALLAH" affects healing of psychological diseases. He pointed out in his research that pronouncing the first letter in the word "ALLAH" which is the letter (A), released from the respiratory system, controls breathing. He added that pronouncing the velar consonant (L) in the Arabic way, with the tongue touching slightly the upper part of the jaw producing a short pause and then repeating the same pause constantly, relaxes the aspiration.

Also, pronouncing the last letter which is the letter (H) makes a contact between the lungs and the heart and in turn this contact controls the heartbeat.

What is exciting in the study is that this psychologist is a non-Muslim, but interested in Islamic sciences and searching for the secrets of the Holy Quran. Allah, The Great and Glorious, says, We will show them Our signs in the universe and in their own selves, until it becomes manifest to (remember me in your Dua) ALLAHU AKBAR Allah is great.

I think this used to occur before the birth of the prophet. When the prophet was born, the ability for shayateen to hear anything was stopped. I do not know the exact sequence of this, however this is what I have heard many a time.

Also there is a book called "Manzil", which inshallah if a person reads everyday with sincerity then the person will be saved from all types of sihr/black magic/jadoo. It is available from most Islamic Book shops.

Jadoo is real and it works and Quran confirms it .Zikr surely guards you against it but Jadoo can work inspite of Zikr. Our Prophet(May Peace Be Upon Him) was affected to some extent by JAdoo and who could be more engrossed into Zikr that Him. Jadoo works like poison it worksand it has to be cured by specific potions of quran. A true Amil knows this specific medicine for your ailment. But there are too many fake Amils around. I have seen some righteous Amils and they donot demand all this above quoted stuff. First of all they obey the Shariah in all their actions and secondly charge a nominal amount if at all they charge any thing.But just any Zikr is not the cure of a specific Jadoo. Nevertheless choosing a right Amil is a difficult job. So be careful,the best criterion is to check him in respect of his following of Shariah.Wassalaam

yes our noble Prophet (peace be upon him) was affected by the sihr/jadoo/black magic of a shaytanic person BUT that was before the revelation of the two 'protective' surahs, surah falaq and surah nas.

they were revealed on the occasion of the black magic in order to assist our Prophet (peace be upon him) and as an example for us.

so zikr DOES combat black magic...its just a question of which form of zikr....and the quranic zikr of those two powerful, specific surahs is most effective.

and Allah taAla knows best.

That is exactly what I meant that there is different remdy or Zikr for different situations in the sitauations mentioned in HAdith we take those remedies in other situstions we follow the Azkar prescribed by our Shayookh and Bazoorgs. But the source of this Shifa is definitely Quran and HAdith.Wassalaam
