    May 12, 2009 by at-Tahawi

Nuzhat al-KhawatirThe amazingly thorough bibliographical dictionary of the scholars of Hind (India), compiled by the erudite historian and linguist, Shaykh ‘Abd al-Hayy al-Husayni al-Laknawi, the father of Shaykh Abu ‘l-Hasan ‘Ali al-Nadwi, is now available online.

The book has been published by Dar Ibn Hazm under the title: al-I’lam bi man fi Tarikh al-Hind min al-A’lam and was published in eight parts in three large volumes.

Other editions exist out there which have been published with more volumes. An appendixed completion (takmilah) of the book was added by the author’s son, Shaykh Abu ‘l-Hasan ‘Ali al-Nadwi.

May Allah protect us and innocent sunnis from the fitnah of Barelwism !

"He who doubts about the unbelief of the Deobandi's is also an unbeliever."
(Ahmad Raza Khan in his Fatawa Ridwiyya, 6/82)

"If anyone has the same beliefs as the Deobandi's have, he is also an unbeliever."
(Ahmad Raza Khan in his Fatawa Ridwiyya, 6/43)

"If anyone prays behind anyone of the Deobandi's, he is also not a Muslim."
(Ahmad Raza Khan in his Fatawa Ridwiyya, 6/77)

"Any person who doubts the kufr of these people (Deobandis) will themselves become kaafirs!" (See the preface to Ahmad Raza Khan's Tamheed-e-Iman, p. v, by the South African Barelvi who called himself the "Khadim-e-Raza: servant of Rida Khan", Mohammed Bana, dated 19/10/87)

"Any person who would not call them (Deobandis) disbelievers or would maintain friendship with them, or would take into consideration their positions as teachers or relatives or friends will also definitely become one of them. He is a disbeliever like them. On the Day of Judgement, he will also be tied with them in the same rope. Whatever lame excuses and fraudulent arguments they give here are invalid and false."
(Ahmad Rida Khan in his Tamheed-e-Iman)

"If anyone admires Darul Ulum Deoband, or does not believe in the corruption of the Deobandi's and does not scorn them, then this is sufficient to make a judgement for him to be a Non-Muslim!"
(Ahmad Raza Khan in his Fatawa Ridwiyya, 6/43)

"If there is a gathering of Hindu's, Christian's, Qadiyani's and Deobandi's, the Deobandi's alone should be rejected, for they have come out of the fold of Islam and defected from it. Agreement with the unbelievers is far better than the agreement with the apostates!!"
(Ahmad Raza Khan in his Malfuzat pp. 325-6)

"The works of the Deobandi's are more unclean than the various works of the Hindu's. The doubt about the heresy of Ashraf Ali Deobandi and suspicion about his punishment is also unbelief. To cleanse the impurity with the papers of the works produced by the Deobandi's is not lawful, not because of the respect for their books, but because of the reverence of the letters with which they have been written."
(Ahmad Raza Khan in his Fatawa Ridwiyya, 2/136)

"The Wahhabi's are more contemptuous than Iblis, indeed more mischievous and more straying than he, for the Shaytan does not tell a lie, but they tell a lie!!"
(Ahmad Raza Khan in his Ahkam-e-Shariat (p. 112)

"A woman is capable of committing fornication. Then according to the opinion of your leader and teacher, it is necessary that your God too should be capable of committing fornication - otherwise the prostitutes of the brothers of the Deobandi's would laugh at Him and say: 'How do you claim for Godhead? You are not capable of doing which even we can do?' This naturally implies that your God must possess a female sexual organ - otherwise where will be the sexual intercourse?"
(Ahmad Raza Khan in his Subhan al-Subbuh. P. 142)

KASHF is not 100% accurate. But the fact is that Ahmad Rida Khan Barelwi did study under the brother of Qadiyani sect founder Mirza Ghulam Ahmad. So there is some connection or link.

Does Ahmad Raza Khan have any specific books refuting Qadiyanis ?

just wanted to correct a thing brother. Qadyani is not a sect, it's a difference religion altogether.

Default Re: Who was Ahmad Raza Khan Barelwi and Rida Khanis

Barelwis like M. Monawwar Ateeq Ridawi should answer these posts and let us know if it is true or not

Wives of the Prophet (saw), Ahmad Raza Khan quotes in his Malfuzat from Zarqani that the wives of the Prophet (saw) after his death are presented to him in his grave and he spends the night with them

    Story of Dabbagh

Ahmad Raza Khan to justify that the Shaykh is always with his Murid quoted the story of Dabbagh that Dabbagh was in fourth bed when one of his Murid had intercourse with one of his wife while second was in same room, and Dabbagh as he was there came to know other wife was awake

In his “Malfuzat” v 3 p 276, Ahmad Raza Khan wrote about the life of the Prophet (saw) in his grave:

Question: What is the difference in the Barzakhi life of Prophets (may Salah be upon them) and Awliya

“The life of the noble Prophets (may Salah and Salam be upon them) is real and physical similar to the life of this world (Haqiqi Hisi Dunyawi), and death touched them for a little moment just to fulfil the divine promise, then just after they are given the same life. This life has the same ruling as the life of this world, their inheritance is not distributed, the Nikah of their wives is forbidden and they do not have any 'Iddah period, they (Prophets) eat and drink and pray in their graves, rather Saydi Muhammad ibn Abdul Baqi Az-Zarqani said that for the Prophets (may Salah and Salam be upon them), their pure wives are presented to them in their graves, and they spend the night with them.”

In his “Malfuzat” v 2 p 169, Ahmad raza Khan wrote:

“Sayidi Ahmad Sijilmasi had two wives, Sayidi Abdul 'Aziz Ad-Dabbagh (rad) said to him one day: “You slept with one wive while the other was awake, this should not be done”.
    He argued: “She was sleeping”
He (Dabbagh) replied: “No she was not...”
He asked: “How do you know this?”
He (Dabbagh) said: “Where she was sleeping, was there another bed?”
He said: “Yes, there was an empty bed”
He (Dabbagh) said: “I was on this bed, at no time is the Shaykh separated from his Murid, he is always with him”

The Mufti of Barelwis , who they refer to as Mufti -e- Azam Mohammad Akhtar Raza Khan Qadiri Azhari was asked some questions among which:

Question 1: There are two statements in connection with the Awliya (Saints) and Walayat (Saintliness) as:

    (a) "A person is not a perfect Wali (Saint) until he develops a faculty of "X-Ray" sight enabling him to actually see a female's genitals including the womb." (Najmur Rahman, pg. 104 - 106)

    (b) "The Awliya (Saints) are ever at the side of their disciples and are always present even when their disciple is engaged in sexual inter course." (Malfoozat-e-A'la Hadrat, pg. 56)

Mohammad Akhtar Raza Khan Qadiri Azhari mentioned in his answer:

'Ala Hadrat Fazile Barelvi (alaihir rahma) has proved this in his distinguished work, "Ad-Daulatul-Makkiyah", which states that Allah has given whom He loves the knowledge of the five entities (Uloom-e-Khamsa). They are:

    1. When the Day of Justice will be,
    2. What is in the womb,
    3. What a man will earn tomorrow,
    4. When and where will one die, and
    5. When will it rain

    ...

Answer 1 (b): What has been referred from the "Al Malfooz" of 'Ala Hadrat about the presence of a Wali at a meeting place. In this connection, I would like to clear that 'Ala Hadrat (alaihir rahma) has quoted it from "Ibreez", the work of Allama Siljimasi, since it was the presence of a great Wali, Hadrat Abdul Aziz Dabbagh (alaihir rahma), to watch his disciple. It is proved by Islamic Faith that one's soul can be present anywhere and at many places at a time.

Answered by Tajus Shariah Mufti -e- Azam Akhtar Rida Khan Barelwi
    http://www.taajushshariah.com/Fatawa...s_wilayat.html

In his “Malfuzat” v 4 p 402, Ahmad Raza Khan wrote:

“The noble Awliya say: “The seven heavens and earth compared to the vision of believer slave are not but like a ring thrown in a desert land.” Sayidi Ash-Shareef Abdul 'Aziz Ad-Dabbagh (rad) said that the seven heavens and earth compared to the largeness of the vision (Wus'at e Nigah) of the perfect believer are not but like a ring thrown in a desert land. Allah Akbar, when this is the status of the slaves, then how can someone think about the greatness of Allah.”

In his “Malfuzat” v 1 p 31, Ahmad Raza Khan wrote that Awliya know Ghayb and everything:

“A saint said: “he is not a man the one who does not see the whole world similarly to seeing a hand”, and he told the truth and showed his level. Shaykh Baha ul Millah and Deen Naqshband (may Allah sanctify his secret) said after him: “I say: he is not a man the one who does not see the whole universe similarly to seeing a nail of the thumb”...Sayd Ghawth A'zam (rad) said in his Qasidah Ghawthiyah Sharif: “I saw all the lands of Allah like a grain continuously” and this seeing was not particular to any time, rather this was continuous, and he said: “My eyes are fixed on the Lawh Al-Mahfuz” and what is Lawh Al-Mahfuz? Allah said about it: “Everything small or big is written (in it)” and He said: “We have not left anything in the book” and He said: “There is not anything wet or dried except it is recorded in Kitab Mubeen”, so when this is the state of Lawh Al-Mahfuz, that everything of the creation is recorded in it since the first day to the last, so the one who knows it, then without any doubt he will have knowledge of all the creation”

Note: Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jilani did not write such a Qasidah, rather he in Ghuniyah, he clearly said that the Prophet (saw) does not know time of Qiyamah

In his “Malfuzat” v 1 p 115, Ahmad Raza Khan writes about the fairy tales of Ghawth:

“Question: is there a Ghawth in every time?

Answer: Without the Ghawth, the earth and heavens cannot remain stable.

Question: Are matters disclosed (Munkashaf) to the Ghawth in his Muraqabah (meditation)?

Answer: No, rather at every time these matters are presented to him like in a mirror...every Ghawth has two ministers, the nickname of the Ghawth is Abdullah and the left hand is called AbdurRab and the right hand is called AbdulMalik. In this system of reign, the left hand minister is superior to the right hand minister contrary to the system of reign in this world, because this system of reign is that of the heart and it is on the left. The greatest Ghawth and the Ghawth of every Ghawth is Hudhur Saydul 'Alim (saw), Siddiq Akbar (Abu Bakr) was the left hand minister of the Prophet (saw) and Farooq A'zam (Omar) was the right hand. Then in this community, the first to attain state of Ghawth is Ameer ul Muminin Hadhrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (rad) and his ministers were Ameerul Muminin Faruq A'zam and Uthman Ghani (rad). Then Hadhrat Omar Faruq A'zam (rad) was given level of Ghawth and then Uthman Ghani (rad) and his minsters were Mawla 'Ali (kw) and Imam Hasan, then Mawla Ali (became Ghawth) and and the two noble Imams (Hasan and Husayn) became his ministers. Then the matter went from Imam Hasan (rad) generation after generation up to Imam Hasan Askari. All these were Ghawth on their own (Mustaqil). Between Imam Hasan Askari up to Hudhur Ghawth A'zam (Al-Jilani) (rad), all those who were Ghawth were their Naib. After them Sayduna Ghawth A'zam became a Ghawth on his own (Mustaqil), he reached the level of Ghawth Akbar...all those who are Ghawth after Ghawth A'zam up to Imam Mahdi are all Naib of Hudhur Ghawth A'zam, then Imam Mahdi will have state of Ghawthiyat Kubra.

Barelwis of Ya*abi forum, barelwitalk, barelwiport or M. Monawwar Ateeq Ridawi should answer these posts and let us know if it is true or not

In his “Malfuzat” v 1 p 113-114, Ahmad Raza Khan wrote:

“Question: Do the Awliya have the power to be in many places in one time?

Answer: if they desire they can go in 10 000 cities and accept 10 000 invitations.

Question: Hudhur, one imagines from this that some bodies from the world of forms ('Alim e Mithal) are submitted to the Awliya, and that is how one can see them in different places at the same time. If it is not such, then one has doubt that the form is different from the person, so the presence of the form is not the presence of the thing.

Answer: If they are forms, then their souls is linked to all these bodies and controls them, so by the soul and reality, it is the same essence that is present everywhere, and this is in apparent understanding, else it is written “Sab'ah Sanabil Sharif” that Hadhrat Saydi Fath Muhammad (may Allah sanctify his secret) wrote that he would go to ten places at the same time, and someone protested that he promised to go to ten places at the same time, how was this possible? The Shaykh said: “Krishan Kanayah was a Kafir, and he was present in hundreds of places at the same time, so if Fath Muhammad is present in few places at the same time, then how is that strange? After mentioning this, he said: “Do you believe that the Shaykh is present at one place and the rest are his forms, no rather the Shaykh is present everywhere by his essence. The Batini secrets are above apparent understanding, so deep thinking is not worth.”

Pagan idol worshipping Hindus and Krishna ? what is Ala Hazrat Rida Khan sahib trying to prove here...

Default Re: Who was Ahmad Raza Khan Barelwi ?

can the barelwis and their friends, please check the following quotes, references and translations

The references are from Malfuzaat of Ahmad Raza Khan Briliwey that is published by “Hamid and company, 38 Urdu Bazaar Lahore”

1 A story is mentioned on page 104-105, part 1 of this book- It goes like this:

Junaid Bagdadi (may Allah have mercy on him) once came to the bank of a river and wanted to cross it. He started to walk on the river. One of Junaid's followers also wanted to cross the river and he asked him as to how he can do that. Junaid replied say "Yaa Junaid" and you will be able to cross the river. So the follower started to say this and he, like his sheikh, started to walk on the river. Suddenly, the cursed Shaitan whispered in the heart of the follower who thought that I am saying "Yaa Junaid" but my Sheikh is saying "Yaa Allah" why don't I say "Yaa Allah" as well.
As soon as he started to say "Yaa Allah", he began to sink in the water. He then called upon his Sheikh who told him to say "Yaa Junaid" and as soon as he did so, he began to walk again on the water.

The story goes on to say that the Sheikh told his follower that you haven't even reached me yet and how can you reach Allah. The thing that I want to point out from this story is that this story indicates that the thought calling upon Allah instead of a saint is a Devil’s whisper. I seek refuge with Allah from this.

2 There is another story which is trying to prove that Saints can lie. We seek refuge with Allah from this: Here is the story on page 104-105, part 1:

Once one of the saints prepared some Rice pudding and told his slave to go and give it to the saint on the other side of the river. His slave said that how can I reach the other side of the river when I have no boat or any other material to cross the river. The saint replied "Go to the river and say to it: I have come from a person who never had intercourse with his wife". The servant was astonished, for the saint had children. He complied his order and went to the river and said what the saint told him to say. The river divided into two and the servant passed through it safe and sound. He presented the pudding to the Saint who lived at the other bank and he ate it and blessed him. He said "Convey my greetings to your master". The servant replied " I shall convey your greetings to him when I reach there. How can I reach him, for a river lies between him and me". The saint advised him by saying "Go to the river and say to it: I have come from a person who did not eat anything for thirty years". The servant was surprised, for he saw the saint eating the pudding that he had brought to him. But as soon as he conveyed his message to the river, it was split up and gave him the way for going back home.

3 It mentions about a person who thought he was married to Allah (Nauzabillah min thalik)

On volume 2 page 208 in Ahmad Raza Bareilawi’s book "Malfuzaat", he was asked about the characteristics of a Majzoob. A majzoob is someone who is drowned in the remembrance of Allah. Ahmad Raza then defines that a “real Majzoob is one who never competes against the Shariah”. He then writes about a “ famous majzoob” whose name was “Hadrat Saydeey Musa Sahaak” and the Ahmad Raza also writes “May the mercy of Allah be upon him”. He even writes that he has visited the Majzoob’s “blessed shrine in Ahmad abaad” and that this majzoob used to “wear women clothes”. He then narrates a story about this “famous majzoob” and in the story the majzoob believed that he was the bride of Allah. We seek refuge with Allah from this ridiculous belief.

Before I share this story with you I would like to clarify that I do not really want to narrate stories like this which insult Allah, the Perfect.

Ahmad Raza describes this story that goes as follows:

Once at a time of drought, the king and some of his people approached the Majzoob and requested him to pray to Allah to bless them with rain. Initially Saydeey Musa Sahaak refused but then agreed to their proposal due to their persistent demands. The Majzoob then picked up a stone and held it to his bangles that he was wearing and then looking up into the sky he said "make it rain or else take back your dowry" (we seek refuge with Allah from this nonsense). Immediately heavy rained poured from the sky….

This first part of the story clearly tells us that Saydeey Musa Sahaak thought that he was married to Allah and that’s why he said to Allah that either make it rain or take back your gift i.e. the bangles and other items that he thought that was given to him by Allah on the wedding day. Look at the way Allah is being ordered by this person in the above story. The second strange thing in the above story is that Allah accepts the demand of Saydeey Musa Sahaak, who the Bareilawi leader prays for, and pours rain on to the people. If Allah was not happy with the comments made by Saydeey Musa Sahaak then why did he pour rain from the sky? Nowhere in the story does Ahmad Raza Bareilawi criticizes Saydeey Musa Sahaak for his belief or comments, why should when he believes that he was a very holy person i.e. a saint. This shows how Ahmad Raza is trying to teach his followers by using stories like these that Allah can be ordered around by people who insult him. How can any sensible Muslim ever write such rubbish and describe someone who wears women clothes and thinks he is married to Allah as someone who is a very holy person. How dare these people order the All-Mighty Allah around, the One who has only to say "BE" and His command is fulfilled. However sadly, Ahmad Raza Khan does not stop the story here, he continues to further reduce the superiority of Allah and to ridicule our Al-Mighty Lord (I seek refuge with Allah from this). Ahmad Raza further continues with this story as follows:

Once a Judge happened to meet the saint and he advised the saint that why are you wearing women clothes when Allah has made you a man. The judge managed to convince this saint into wearing men's clothes and to accompany him to read the Friday prayer. However when they got the Mosque and the prayer commenced, upon hearing the imam saying the first takbir of "Allah U Akbar" the saint changed his attitude once again. He shouted out "Allah U Akbar, My husband is Heyun laa yamoot , he will never die, these people are trying to make me a widow". As soon as these words were spoken, his men's clothes were magically transferred into red women's clothes and the bangles immediately appeared on Saydeey Musa Sahaak’s wrists.

In the story Ahmad Raza also describes that as soon as Saydeey Musa Sahaak said these words then immediately a miracle occurred and he was transferred to wearing red women clothes with bangles on his wrists. Ahmad Raza portrays Saydeey Musa Sahaak in the above story as a very religious and holy person due to the miracles that he performed for example the change of clothes and the rain. Ahmad Raza also says in the beginning of the story that he has visited the shrine of Saydeey Musa Sahaak. In addition, the Bareilawi leader never criticizes Saydeey Musa Sahaak for his actions or beliefs and instead invokes Allah to send his mercy on him. Also the reader might remember that Ahmad Raza also wrote that a“real Majzoob is one who never competes against the Shariah” i.e. who never does things against the religion. It seems to me that Ahmad Raza does not believe that wearing women clothes and believing that you are married to Allah is against the religion since he calls Saydeey Musa Sahaak a “famous Majzoob”. If he did not think that Saydeey Musa Sahaak was a true Majzoob then he would have never written about him.

4 Ahmad Raza writes that the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam is having sexual relations with his wives in the grave. Astagfirullah!

In Malfuzaat (volume 3 page 276) Ahmad Raza writes that "The wives of Allah’s Nabi are presented to them in their blessed graves and they have sexual relations with them”

We seek refuge with Allah from this.

5 Ahmad Raza boasts that he led the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam in prayer:

The Bareilawi leader writes in Malfuzaat page 142, volume 2 that someone had a dream where he met the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam riding on a horse. The person asked the prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam where he was going and the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam replied “to read Brakat Ahmad’s funeral prayer”. Ahmad Raza Khan after quoting this, then says "Al-hamdulillah, I lead that funeral prayer". he quotes the dream and then says boasting that all praise belongs to Allah that I lead that funeral prayer i.e. the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam prayed behind him in that funeral prayer which he led and that’s why he is praising Allah subhanawatallah.

On that same page Ahmad Raza writes that he went to a grave of a person and he smelled the same sweet fragrance from that grave as he smelled from the grave of the Prophet Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam. Astagfirullah min thalik!

    and

APPEAL FOR AID TO A PERSON OTHER THAN Allaah AND SEEKING HELP FROM HIM

The Bareilawis make such statements which Islam refutes openly, 'There are servants of Allaah whom He has singled out for fulfilling the needs of the people who flee to them with their needs' [Al Bareilawi, al Amn wal ula, Lahore, Dar al Tabligh, p 29]. The Bareilawi said, 'Seeking help and aid from anyone besides Allaah is lawful and desired. No one denies it, except an arrogant and obstinate' [Al Bareilawi, Hayat al Mawat, included in al Fatawa al Ridwiyya Vol IV p 300]

It is the same that the one whose help is sought may be living or dead, a prophet or apostle, a saint of pious. There is no difference between them, for they are the people responsible for the affairs, suppliers of the needs, removers of the calamities, healers of the diseases and relievers of the suffering. The Bareilawi have explicitly said, 'Seeking help from the Prophets and the Messengers and the pious is permissible' [Ibid]. Barilawi says, 'Call Ali, the manifestation of wonders. You will find him an aid to you in calamities. All calamities and sorrows will be removed by virtue of your guardianship, O Ali O Ali' [Al Amm wal ula p 13]

Bareilawi says, 'When you are confused and helpless in matters, then seek help from the inmates of the tombs'. [Al Amm wal ula p 44] The Bareilawi said, 'Muhammad b al Farghal used to say, 'I am one of those who have power of disposition in the graves, if anyone has a need, he should come to me in front of my face and make mention of his need, I shall fulfill it'. [Anwar al Intibah p 182]

"Say: Call upon other (gods) whom ye fancy, besides Allaah. They have no power not the weight of the atom - in the heavens or on the earth. No share have they therein, no is any of them a Helper to Allaah" Qur'aan 1: 5

"Such is Allaah your Lord: to Him belongs all Dominion. And those whom ye invoke beside Him have not the least power. If you invoke them, they will not listen to your call, and if they were to listen, they cannot answer your (prayer). On the Day of Judgement they will reject your partnership. And none (O man) can tell thee (the truth), like the one who is acquainted with all things" Qur'aan 35: 13-14

"But those ye call upon besides Him, are unable to help you, and indeed to help themselves" Qur'aan 7:197

"Nor have ye, besides Allaah, anyone to protect or to help" Qur'aan 42: 31

"Verily those ye call upon besides Allaah are servants like unto you: Call upon them, listen to your prayer, if ye are indeed truthful" Qur'aan 7: 194

Allaah the Exalted has mentioned in His Book a number of prophets and His pious servants. They were in need of seeking succour and help from Him, and needed supplication to Him in their problems and calamities that befell them. They never sought help from anyone, nor did they call upon anyone but their Lord alone, from Adam to Noah, from Abraham to Moses, from Jonah to the last Prophet Muhammad, (peace be upon them all). But Bareilawi said, 'The whole world belongs to the saints like a palm on the hand which they are watching. If anyone calls upon them and seek help from them from any part of the world, they will help him and supply his needs'. [Jaal Haqq pp 138-139] The Prophet sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam said to Abdullah b Abbas radiallaahu 'anhu, 'If you ask for anything ask Allaah for it, if you seek help, seek it from Allaah, whatever you will meet in your future life, that has been decreed for you, if all the creatures strive to benefit you, they cannot benefit you but to the extent that Allaah has decreed for you; if they strive to harm you, they cannot harm you but to the extent Allaah has decreed against you' [Sunan al Tirmidhi]

But the Bareilawi says, 'If you are embarrassed in your affairs, seek help from the inmates of the tombs' [Al Bareilawi, wal ula, p 46]. Above all he criticises those who deny this assertion. This innovator reviles them saying, 'In our day, a small group has cropped up who denies seeking help from the saints, and they assert whatever they assert, of that they have no knowledge. They do nothing but lie'.[Hayat al Mawat, included in Fatawa Ridwiyya Vol IV pp 301-302] They (Bareilawis) have named the adherents of the Qur'aan and Sunnah the innovators, and named themselves the followers and the adherents of the early Muslims about whim Allaah has not sent any authority. The following words of Allaah, the Exalted, apply to them (Bareilawis): "When it is said to them: Follow what Allaah hath revealed: They say: Nay, we shall follow the ways of our fathers. What! Even though their forefathers were void of their wisdom and guidance?" Qur'aan 2: 170

THE POWER OF THE PROPHETS AND SAINTS AND THEIR AUTHORITY

The Bareilawis have treated Allaah as suspended and isolated from any authority, power and sovereignty. They allege that the power has shifted to the saints. they (saints) are masters of the earth and those who live on it. they (saints) are the commanders of the heavens. they (saints) dispose of matter in it (universe) as they like. From them (saints) comes help. How is it warranted for these people to attribute themselves to Islam...

"There is no God by He! He gives life and death" Qur'aan 29: 60

"Blessed be He in whose hands is dominion and He has power over all things" Qur'aan 67: 1

"Unbelievers whose eyes had been under a veil from remembrance of Me, and who had been unable even to hear. Do the unbelievers think that thy can take my servants as protectors besides Me? Verily, We have prepared Hell for the unbelievers for their entertainment" Qur'aan 18:103-104

Bareilawi's son wrote, 'Whatever appears in the universe, our chief Muhammad grants it, in whose hand lie all the keys. Therefore, nothing goes out from the divine treasures but at his hands. Whenever he intends to do an act, nothing occurs against it and nothing in the Universe can debar it' [Al Bareilawi, al Istimdad ala ajyal al Irtidad p 32-33] Bareilawi said, 'It is the Messenger of Allaah who heals up the diseases and pains and removes every calamity from the Muslim people, he give life, and resolves the dilemmas, benefits all the creatures, and raises their degree. He is the guardian and the helper, the remover of the adversity. It is he who cooled down the fire upon Abraham. It is he who bestows, and his command is in force and his order is operative in the universe' [Ibid 29-30] Another says, 'The Messenger of Allaah, the chief of the universe, is the generous, the sustainer, and we all are needy to him' [Al Fatawa al Ridwiyya Vol I p 577]

'His (i.e. Muhammad's) name is written on the Throne, so that it may be known that the Throne belongs to him, and he is its master' [Ibid p41] Bareilawi said, 'The Messenger of Allaah is the greatest vicegerent of Allaah and he is the disposer of all things in the heaven and on earth' [Al Fatawa al Ridwiyya, Vol VI p 155] Another says, 'The whole world and all the matters lie in the hand of the Messenger of Allaah. He disposes it to them as he pleases. He grants anything he wishes to whom he wishes from it and from them' [Ahmad Yar al Bareilawi, Jaal Haqq, p 195] Another says, 'The Messenger of Allaah is the vicegerent of the Lord, he gives whatever he pleases to whom he pleases, and strips off whatever he pleases from whom he pleases' [Amjad Ali, Bahari Shariat, Vol I p 15]

Bareilawi said, 'Shaikh abd al Qadir has the power of disposition in the universe. He has been granted permission and he has the authority. He is the conductor of the affairs of the world' [Al Bareilawi, Hadaiq Bakhshish p 26] Bareilawi said, 'Shaikh abd al Qadir used to walk in the air in public in his assemble, and would say, The sun does not rise until it greets me' [Al Bareilawi, Al Amm wal ula p 109] Bareilawi said, 'The order of the universe is established through the agency of the saints' [Al Istimdad p 35-36] Bareilawi said, 'The saints give life to the dead, heal up the born blind and the leper, and cover the whole earth by a single pace' [Al Amm wal ulal p 24] 'No period of time is free from a saint who provides aid, and the heaven and earth stand though him alone' [Ibid p 92] 'The divines (i.e. the saints) have the power to change the divine decree which is suspended' [Bahari Shariat, Vol I, p 6] Another Bareilawi says, 'The disposing power of the saints increases after their death' [Al Fatawa al Naimiya, p 249] 'The sick used to seek healing from Jesus, but Ahmad Rida gives life to the dead' [Ayyub Ridwi, Madaih Ala Hadrat p4-5] Such are these people, and such are their doctrines entirely repugnant to the teachings of Allaah who has mentioned them in the Qur'aan (i.e Qur'aan 18:102-104). These are also in conflict with the teachings of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam. In his 'Fatawa', Ibn Taymiyya relates that Bayazid al Bistami has said: Seeking help by the creature from the creature is like seeking help by a drowning person from a drowning person. [Fatawa Shaikh al Islam, Vol I p 112]

    HEARING OF THE DEAD

The ignorant persons who call upon the prophets and saints, and pious men after their death and invoke them besides Allaah, the Exalted, do so on the account of their belief that the dead listen to them, answer their supplication, and possess power and authority. Hence they say, 'The saints and the pious men hear and see in their tombs more than the extent to which they hear and saw during their life in this world' [Amjad Ali, Bahari Shariat, p 56]

According to their belief, they were incapable before their death and were chained by the causation of the universe. When they died, they were released from those causes. About this Bareilawi says, 'When the pious souls are abstracted from the bodily connections, then they are associated with the supreme sphere, and they see and hear everything like a witness' [Ibid pp 18-19]

Several false stories proving the dead can hear and speak, here is one of them: 'Once al Sayyid Ismail al Hadrimi passed by a graveyard accompanied by his disciples. He stopped near forty graves and remained standing there for a long time. He kept on weeping till the midday and then laughed. He was asked about the cause of his weeping and laughing. He replied, I passed by these graves, for their inmates were being punished. I then began to intercede with the Lord and weep for their punishment, till the punishment was removed from them. When I finished, I heard a woman's calling me from the end of the graveyard, and say, I am so and so, a singing girl. You interceded for them and deprived me. I laughed at her words and said to her, You are one of them. Then the punishment was removed from her' [Al Hikayat al Roidwiyya - this book deals with the powers and authority of saints and pious men] Bareilawi says, 'When the companions placed the body of the messenger of Allaah in his grave, he was speaking and saying, My people my people' [Al Bareilawi, Nafy al Fai an man anara bi Nuihi Kulla Shai]

Another says, 'When the people left Medina for three day on the occasion of al Harra, and none entered the Masjid of the Prophet, the call to prayer was heard from the grave of the prophet five times daily' [Didar Ali, Hidayat al Tariq fi Bayan al Tahqiq wal Taqlid, p 86] A story runs, 'A person was traveling and the night overtook him. He intended to take rest. So he placed his baggage on the ground and slept. He placed his head on a high mound. In the morning he found that his mound was a grave of a person. Suddenly the inmate of the grave called him complaining: You have been causing me trouble since last night.' [Ahkam Qubur Muminin p 247] - (One may ask, placing the head caused him harm, but the big domes built over the graves and the graves built with marble and gold, and silver and lofty erections built over them do not cause harm? Their eyes are not blind, but the hearts in their chests are blind). This is the non-sense talk of these people, and this is their belief, entirely repugnant to what Allaah, the Exalted and His Messenger sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam have said, and contrary to the Islamic shariah, clear and pure from the dirt of polytheism, idolatry and superstitions. These people harbour such beliefs to assign partners to Allaah like the pagan Arabs about whom Allaah has said: "And who is more astray than one who invokes besides Allaah, such as will not answer him on the day of judgement, and who (in fact) are unconscious of their call to them?" Qur'aan 47:5 (see also, (7: 191-198), (10:2)

THE PROBLEM OF POSSESSING KNOWLEDGE OF THE UNSEEN

One of the most significant beliefs the Bareilawis have is that the prophets, the messengers of Allaah, His righteous servants and the saints possess the knowledge of the unseen and of the unseen of the heavens and the earth. This belief of theirs is contrary to the explicit texts of the Qur'aan: "Say: None in the heavens or on earth, except Allaah, knows what is hidden" Qur'aan 27: 65 (see also, (35:38), (49:18), (11:123), (10:20), (6:59), (31:34)) The Bareilawi hold views contrary to these verses and traditions: 'The Prophet sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam know, rather see and watch over all that which happened and all that which will happen from the first day to the last' [Ahmad Rida, al Dawlat al Makkiya, Lahore, p58] Another says, 'The Prophets know the unseen since their birth' [Ahmad Yar, Mawaiz Naimiya, p 192] The Bareilawi said, 'The knowledge of the Tablet, the knowledge of the pen, and the knowledge of whatever existed and of whatever will exist are part of the knowledge of the Prophet' [Ahmad Rida, Khalis al Itiqad, p 38]

Another says, 'If the Prophet places his foot on an animal, it will have the knowledge of the seen and the unseen. How does a saint on whom the Prophet puts his hand not know the seen and the unseen' [Iqtidar, Mawaiz Naimiyya pp 364-365] (For proofs against the lies above see from the Quran, (31:34), (13:8-9), (20:15), (7:187), (33:63), (6:2), (43:85))

The Prophet sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam said, 'The keys of the unseen are five, Allaah alone knows them. Allaah alone knows what the wombs contain, no one knows what will be on the morrow but Allaah, and you do not know what land you will die but Allaah, and no one knows when the last hour will come but Allaah.' [Transmitted by Bukhaaree, Muslim, Ahmad]

THE PROBLEM OF OMNIPRESENT AND OMNISCIENT

One of the chief beliefs which the Bareilawis harbour is that which is repugnant to reason and tradition. It is that the Prophet sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam is present at every place and sees everything. Bareilawi says, 'There is no place and there is no time in which the Messenger of Allaah is not present' [Ahmad Said al Kazimi, Taskin al Khawatir fi Masalat al Hadir wal Nazir, p85] 'The Messenger of Allaah has the power to travel throughout the lands with the spirits of the companions, and many saints have seen him' [Jaal Haqq p 150] 'The saints are able to visit ten thousand cities in a single moment if they please and intend' [Al Bareilawi, Malfuzat, p 113] 'The spirit of the Prophet is present in the homes of the people of Islam' [Khalis al Itiqad p 40] 'The messenger of Allaah is looking at every atom from the atoms of the world every moment. He visits the assembly of the recitation of the Qur'aan, recitation on account of hi birthday, and recitation of the odes in his praise. Similarly, he attends the funeral procession of virtuous people with his holy body' [Jaal Haqq p 155] 'The righteous men of Allaah see him (i.e. Muhammad sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam with their own tangible eyes in wakefulness many times' [Taskin al khawatir] 'The people with insight see the Messenger of Allaah even in their prayers' [Ibid p 86] The Bareilawi says, 'Krishna, the unbeliever, used to visit thousands of places in a single moment. This he did despite his unbelief. Why cannot the saints visit numerous places in a single moment?' [Al Fatawa al Ridwiyyaa Vol VI p 142]

(Allaah subhanahu wa ta'ala says in the Quran "Such are some of the stories of the unseen, which we have revealed unto thee, before this, neither thou nor the people knew them. So persevere patiently, for the end if for those who are righteous" Qur'aan 11:49 (see also, (28:44-46), (11:49), (12:102)) The Bareilawi say: 'The Messenger of Allaah is omnipresent and omniscient, and they also say: It is not lawful to use the word hadir (omnipresent) for Allaah, the Exalted' [Ahmad Said, Taskin al Khawatir p 5] 'The messenger of Allaah knows the affairs of all the existents and creations, and nothing is hidden from him' [Ibid p 65]

He also says, 'Weep, O Wahhabis, for the Prophet of Allaah is omnipresent and omniscient. Nothing happened in the world and nothing will happen in it but he sees it and observes it. He is present at every place, and sees everything' [Khalis al Itiqad p 46] Let a weeper weep upon Islam! This is the reality of religion according to the beliefs of this sect. This is the right religion of Allaah bought by Muhammad sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam and about which he said by the command of his Lord: "Say thou: This is my way: I do not invite unto Allaah - on evidence clear as seeing with one's eyes - I and whoever follows me. Glory to Allaah! And never will I join gods with Allaah" Qur'aan 12:108 These beliefs are the beliefs of non-sense talkers, innovators, and polytheists whom the devil has led astray in the Muslim and non Muslim countries, India and Pakistan. The explicit and true texts of the Qur'aan and the Sunnah are before you, which oppose them and contradict their beliefs and doctrines.

The Bareilawis and Ahmad Ridha a-Bareilawi

FROM":BARAILWIS,HISTORY AND BELIEFS BY EHSAN ELAHI ZAHEER,TRANSLATED BY DR.ABDULLAH(PH.D.)

    THE BAREILAWIS AND THEIR HISTORY

The leader and founder of this sect was born (*4) in a learned family on 14 June 1865/10 shawwal,1272 A.h.His father Naqi'Ali and grandfather Rida 'Ali were considered the Hanafi scholars(*5)He was named Muhammad. His mother named Amman Miyan, his father Ahmad Miyan and his grandfather Ahmad Rida.(*6)

He was absent minded, weak in memory and utterly forgetful. One of his disciples reports:"It was the habit of the Barelwi that he wore the glasses when he wrote or read spmething, for his eyesight was weak, and he could not read or write without glasses.During his leisure hours he lifted it from his eyes and placed it on his forehead.Once some persons came to him when he was writing. He lifted his glasses and as usual placed it on his forehead;then he became busy with talking to them. When he finished,he intended to write and searched for the glasses. He forgot that it was on his forehead. For a while he was perplexed and remained inactive. When he suddenly wiped his face with his hand, the glasses came down to his nose.Thereupon he remembered that he had kept it on his forehead"(*16) Al-Bihari al-Ridwi says:"The barelwi had a locked hand bag and opened it at the time of need.Whenever he opened it,he did not open completely, except to the extent to which he entered his hand.He would bring out wealth, jewellry, and clothes,as he liked.(*63) This unseen hand which helped him was neither the hand bag nor any any other thing. It was the hand of the British Imperiliasm. They helped him in order to exploit him for their selfish ends, especially for creating schism among the Muslims, and for excommunicating those warriors who were shedding their blood in the way of Allah, and sacrificing their lives to promote the cause of Allah, and to purify their land from the existence of the Imperiliasts .He (baraelwi)said that the devil was his companion when he smoked hookah and that he and the devil smoked it by turns!!!!!(*72) One of his habits was that he used to kiss the feet of the people. One of the Barelwis has written that he(Barelwi) used to kiss the feet of Ashrafi Miyan.(*73)

OPPOSITION OF JIHAD AND MUJAHIDIN BY HIM,AND HIS SUPPORT TO IMPERIALISM AND THE IMPERIALISTS:

The period in which the Barelwi lived was one of trial and catastrophe of the Muslims in the subcontinent for the tyrannical British coloniasm uprrooted the Muslim rule in the subcontitent. The imperialists believed that the Muslims were left completely devoid of resisting power, which could check their interests, usurpation and pillage;there was only a sparkle in the ashes. They thought that its source lay in the Muslims in general and in the Wahabis in particular(*103)

(*103)The Imperialists used the word "Wahabis for the first time in the subcontinent. They applied this word to the monotheists and adherents to the Quran and Sunna and to those who criticised them. Thus ,they created hatred towards them among the people.

The Wahabis among the Muslims were the most revolting people. It is they who confronted them and battled them in various fields. They fought against them, raised ther standard of Jihad(holy war) and straitened their life and affronted them to the last letter.

A number of localities were demolished in toto, and many populations, consisting of the young, the old and the women were savagely destroyed on the charge that they were the Wahabis, and that they designed a revolt against the Imperialist, the usurper.(*104)More than one lac of scholars who were the montheists and adherents of the early piosu Muslims, were hanged on the charge of Wahabism and rebellion in Bengal alone.(*105)

Hunter has written in his work"The Indian Musalmans" That there is no danger to the British in India to their power except from the Wahabis, for they are causing disturbances against them, and agitating the people under the name of Jihad to throw away the yoke of obedience to the British and their authority.(*106)

After the explosion, known as explosion of 1857,and which is named Mutiny by the Imperialists, the Wahabis their Ulema and leaders were hanged on the gallows,to uproot them by the imperialists from 1863 to 1865.Those who were imprisoned during this peiod were eminent ulema from the monotheists in general and from the Ahl-e-Hadith in particular,as Shaikh Jafar Thanesary,Shaikh'Abd al-Rahim,Shaikh 'Abdal Ghaffar,ShaikhYayha AliSadiqpuri, and Shaikh Ahmad Allah, and many others. And at the end comes the leader of the Ahle-Hadith,the guide of the followers of the early pious Muslims, the eminent scholar,Shaikh Nadhir Husain al-Muhaddith al-Dihlawi.

The imperialists were not content to this alone, but issued another edict to confiscate the properties of these mujahidin (warriors)(*109)Moreover,their bulidings were demolished and the graves of their families were exhumed.(*110)

The British were not at rest to infuriate the Muslims in general, and the Wahabis in particular. So they decided to inculate perversion and dissension among the Muslims themselves,so that they might neglect them and remain engaged in fighting against each other amomg themselves. Therefore, they exploited a number of persons to achieve their ends and to sow the seed of schism among the Muslims

.For launching this movement they selected two persons from the Muslims. One of them was Ghulam Ahmad Qadiyani(*112),and the other was the Barelwi(*113)

They assigned the job of dissension and excommunication to Ahmad Rida al-Barelwi.He took this standard and raised it over the whole subcontinent. He abused every person and declared him impious and unbeliever ,especially those who encountered the Imperialists and fought against them. The reader will be surpriesed to know that there was no movement launshed in the subcontinent to defy and overthrow the coloniasm but the Barelwi opposed it,and he and his followers helld its leaders as unbelievers(*114)

The party of the monotheists, the Mujahidin, called by their opponents the Wahabis or the Wahabi movement,Jamiat Ulama i Hind,Majlis Ahrar Islam.Khialafat party, the Muslim League and Nilli Posh Party. These parties belonged to the Muslims. The Barelwi and his followers were set aside from all these movements and avoided them.He and his followers declared all these parties as unbelievers, particularlly the Muslim League and more particularly the party of the Mujahidin along with their leaders. He prohibited his followers from entering them and participating in fighting for the freedom of the country. In 1920,when the Muslims of India saw that the British had no design to surrender to their demands. They announced that the Indians should boycott all sorts of transactions with the British Imperialists and avoid them, and should completely sever all their connections with the British government. The Hindus who sought freedom of India also cooperated with them. The eminent Indian poiltician Gandhi was at their head. This resulted an unparalleled revolt not witnessed after the revolt of 1857 a.d.All the Muslim parties, their leaders participated in this movement except the Barelwis. As Usual they did not take part in this national movement too.But on the contrary, they hurried in issuing their fatwas against the persons responsible for these movements in order to stand by the Imperialism and to help the Imperialists. They cried out that the Non-cooperation Movement against the cruel"British Imperilaism, the Movement against the cruel "British Imperialism, the unbeliever was forbidden(Haram)(*119)

    KISSING THE SANDAL

"Kissing the figure of sandal is like the kissing of the original respected sandal. One is healed by kissing it,and one seeks healing up from its name.

So kiss it,and rub the face by placing it thereon, with a sincere intention, you will get what you conceal in your heart"(*128)

These people have seen and felt that holding fairs at the tombs, celebrating death anniversaries of the saints, their sports and dance at the beat of drums, and their gatherings for recitation of odes and songs with music and trumpet which they have given a religous colour are gone. They also believe that their shops which they have opened in the name of hospices and providing aid to the oppressd and fate stricken healing and patients, granting children, distributing the amulets have been suspended. They think that the ways to earning have been closed and their position as sages and saints has flagged, and the gifts received by them as soothsayers are gone. Therefore, they excommunicated them, and declared their personages, scholars, preachers, the inviters to the Quran and the Sunna, and to the truth and guidance. At their head was their leader and warrior, the champion and eminent scholar and the martyr,Shah Ismail, the grandson of ShahWali Allah al-Dihlawi,who raised the standard of Jihad against the British coloniasm and the Sikhs who captured the Muslim territory, raised the standard of Islam to establsih the Islamic state in a part of the Indian soil to implement the Islamic Sharia is toto.He was the renovator of the true Islamic call and the reviver of the straight way followed by the early generatrion of the Muslims. Its voice was suppressssed since centuries and was lost under the heaps of innovations and myriads of absurdities and was totally changed by the later evil ways.Consequently ,graves were worshipped, and people prosrtated themselves towards them and on them, and the mosques were ruined from the right guidance and thew guides, and vacated from the worshippers and the explorers. The hospices were inhabited and flourished, while the people abandoned worshipping Allah alone. The commandments of Allah were suspnended and the divine Sharia was thrown back. The sunna of the Messenger(saw) was dominated by the sayings of the men of religion and acts of the ignorant mystics. The people bought misguidance and atraying for guidance to the straight way,and adopted darkness instead of light. There fore he stood up and battled with his pen, tongue, hand and sword. He took out Allahs book and began to teach and explain it.He invited the people to guidance and to adhere to its teachings after it had been hidden in the silky covers and was designed for getting blessing and taking oaths. He produced his famous book"Taqwiyyat al-Iman" in the light of Quran. In this book he has invited the people to worship Allah alone, and to the divine unity,to abstain from polytheism and seeking help from saints and the inmates of the graves, besides Allah.

The Barelwi says:"The works of Ismail Dihlawi, like"Taqwiyyat al-Iman,"Tanwir al-Ainain Idah al-Haqqaq,and "alsirat al_Mustaqim" are all blasphemous books. They are more impure than urine. If anyone does not believe in that then what?He is an heretic.(*28)

He was not content to all that, and did not consider sufficient according to his temparent. So he said:"The study of "Taqwiyyat al -Imaan" is more unlawful than adultery and drinking"(*29)

It is well known that this fury and rage were on account of the impact of "Taqwiyyat al-Iman" on the souls of the people and exhortation to the belief in the unity of Allah, and unity of the lordship, and prohibition from polytheism is a great wrong, and from receiving blessing from the graves, and seeking the agency of the dead, and asking those who had no power over benefit and harm, indeed no power over anything. The Barelwi knew more than his followers that if any muslim reads this small book, which is full of the verses of Quran and the traditions of the Prophet(saw),he will be impressed necessarily, for the believers are impressed by Quraan:

"Believers are those who, when Allah is mentioned ,feel a tremor in their hearts, and when they hear His signs rehearsed, find their faith strengthened"(*30)

The reason is that Ismail Shahid Dihlawi collected in hiw work"Taqwiyyat al-Iman" a selection from the book of Allah and form the traditions of the Messenger(saw) and translated them in the language of these people for their understanding easily. He thought that if the people understood the Quran and the sunna ,there would remain no business and trade---a profitable trade without any capital. Therefore,it was inevitable for him and for his followers to excommunicate that hero and champion who designed to eliminate the darkness of polytheism by the light of monotheism and the unssen things of ignorance by the radiance of the Sunna, and to revile his work that was full of the word of Allah and the word of His Messenger(saw). They considered its study more unlawful than wine and fornication, for it closed th them the doors of fresh earning without making any effort.

The renovator of the call to salaf(the early pious Muslim scholars),the Imam of the unity of Allah, the revivor of the Sunna, and the annihilator of polytheism and the innovation,Shaikh,al-Islaam Muhammad Abdal-Wahhab and his follwers were the greatest target of the barewli and the Baraelwis, like their brothers, the innovators, and the tomb worshippers in the Arab countries. The reason is that Shaikh Ibn Abd al-Wahhab thinks every innovator and tomb worshipper the greatest obstacle in his way.

The Barelwi and his henchmen apply all sorts of abuses to this oppressed Imam. They left no fatwa which they did not issue against him.

While writing a hadeeth the Barelwi said:"Allah the exalted, will say on the day of resurrection to those bearing the names Ahmad and Muhammad :Enter paradise, for I have made obligatory on me that i will not admit those who bear the names Ahmad and Muhammad to the hellfire".He then remembered that this tradition includes Shaikh Ibn Abd al-Wahhab whose name was Muhammad.Hence he said:This hadith "If a child is born to some person and he names him Muhammad ,he as well a shis child will enter paradise" and similar other ahadith apply only to those Ahl-e-Sunna who have sound belief (that is the Barelwi alone),for those who are not corrupt in their thoughts are the dogs of hellfire. No good deed will be accepted from them.If he is killed unjutly betwwen the black stone of the Kaaba and Maqam Ibrahim of the Kaaba and Maqam Ibrahim while he has patience for his murder hoping for forgiveness and seeking reward from Allah, the Exalted, will not look at him and throw him in the hellfire.I have exposed this point in my fatwas. Therefore, these traditions do not contain any good news for Muhammad Abd al-Wahhab Najdi and other straying people like him.(*69)

He said:The most wicked of the apostates are the Wahabis(*70)

He furthersaid:"The Wahabis are more wicked, harmful, and impure and impure than the jews and the Christians(*71)

One of Barilwi's henchmen has written that the Messenger(saw) predicted about this trial(fitna)of Najdi by saying:"There (in Najd)the earthquakes, commotions will take place, and the horn of Satan will rise there. All the Ahl-sunna and the Hanafis are agreed unanimously that Muhammad b,Abd al-Wahhab was a Khariji and rebel. He who beileves in his doctrines,is the enemy of the religion, going astray himself and leading others astray"(*75)

This is all, beside the prediction of the Barelwi that the Najdis will never occupy Mecca and Medina, the inviolable and sacred territories, and that Allah will break their glory into pieces and desert them.

Mazhar, the Baralwi, has used all nonsense and wicked words for them:"The najdis are heretics, atheists, and devils of Najd, they are unbeilevers and apostates on account of their surely wicked and assured beliefs".(*79)

This treatment, and abusing and declaring Shaikh al-Islam,his adherents, and Saudi Government, are all trifles in the eyes of the Barelwis and the Barelwis.

We do not find that anyone infuriated these people more than those who are monotheists, believers in the divine scripture and adherents to the Sunna of the Messenger(saw),for there remained no grievous word and wicked abuse which they have not used against them.

A researcher and a reader will notice a curious thing when he investigates the literature of these people that their books are full of slanderous and shameful remarks, and worst of the abuses for the reformers and guides of the Muslim community. He will not find find even a single word against the enemies of Allah and His Messenger(saw).

This is the habit of these people, and this is their behaviour with the Ahl-al-Hadith and the followers of Shaikh al-Islam Muhammad Abd al-Wahab.

As to the poet of message of the Prophet Muhammad(saw),the poet of the Muslims in the Indo Pakistan sub-continent,who inculcated the spirit of Jihad among the Muslims, exhorted them to throw away the unislamic rites and practices, the customs of the unbelievers, and to abandon the monastteries and hospices, and warned them against the stagnant attitude towards the legal schools and allegiance to the individual masters of various schools of thought,Dr.Muhammad Iqbal, they said about him:

"Iblis (the devil)speaks through the tongue of the heretic philospher,Dr.Muhammad Iqbal".(*167)

They further added:"The religion followed by Iqbal has no relation with the genuine Islamic religion."(*168)

Quad-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, who liberated Pakistan from the double chains of the Hindus and the British imperialists, and those who founded the Islamic state in the world is also an unbeliever!!!!.His political party, the Muslim league and his members are also unbelievers. The author of "Tajanub Ahl al-Sunna" says:Muhammad Ali Jinnah is an unbeliever and apostate. He has blasphemous beliefs. Therefore, according to the Sharia,he is certainly an apostate, and excluded from the fold of Islam. If anyone is doubtful about his unbelief,or hesitates in declaring him to be an unbeliever he is also an unbeliever.(*173)He further adds:"The Muslim League is not league of Muslims, but a league of the dark people".(*174).

They also declared Muhammad ZiaulHaq,the former President of Pakistan,Sawar Khan, the ex-governor of the Punjab and the ministers of the Government of Pakistan to be unbelievers. They reason is that they had offered prayer behind the Imaam of Masjid Nabawi and the Imam of Masjid Haram of Mecca when they visited Pakistan. This fatwa was issued in reply to a query of a person who asked:What is the fatwa(verdict) about those persons who prayed behind the Imaams of Haramain(the two sacred territories)? They said:The learned Barelwi scholar Nurani has pronounced the fatwa:Whooever believes that the Wahabis of Najd are Muslims,or prays behind them,is an unbeliever and apostate(*179)...This can be quoted endlessly.

    This is their TRUE picture....

    Allah (st) says:

"That is as far as their knowledge will reach them.Verily the Lord knowest best those who stray from His Path, and He knoweth best those who receive guidance"(*36)

    Allah the exalted says:

"Seest thou such a one as taken for his god his own passion(or impulse)? Couldest thou be a disposer of affairs for him?or thinkest thou that most of themlisten or understand? They are only like cattle-nay they are worse astray in path"(*37)

Everything quoted in this thread so far is very troubling to the mind.

May Allah safeguard us all from going astray. Ameen!!
“O our Rabb! Forgive us and our brothers who passed before us with Imaan. And do not place any impurity (ill-feelings) in our hearts against those who have Imaan. O our Rabb! Indeed You are the Most Forgiving, Most Merciful.”
