Has anyone got amazing or interesting stories/experiences regarding Salat al-Istikhara...?
Is there any book available on this subject? Or maybe stories from the Sahaba/'Ullema that you know...

Wa 'alaikum asalam wa rahmatullah,
If you mean personal experience well al hamdu lillah I have had a good one. The result was evident a year later! So it doesn't matter how long it takes. In the beginning of college I was unsure whether to do course x at uni or course y at uni...so I did istikharah for it...just 2 Rak'ats subhanAllah but very beneficial indeed. I chose course X and went after it, but I started to find pathways to that course sooo hard- even though al hamdu lillah I had been interested in it since childhood. However, for course Y everything was like smoothed out and eased out...I even before my exams got strong strong firasah (insight) al hamdu lillah into which questions would come up and I ended up on one of the papers getting a 100 al hamdu lillah. So, expectedly, at the end of year 1, I just realised course Y was the best all along and now that's what I am after inshaa Allah.
Everybody, it's not only about dreams etc, infact you leave things to Allah He will better them for you inshaa Allah.
Jazaki Allahu khayran.. it's a beautiful experience and I'm glad it has turned out good for you alhamdolilah.
I also agree that we shouldn't be sitting there waiting for a dream, the Dua is itself powerful and Allah ta'ala will take care of you

i did istikhara if i should go abroad or not.
that night i had a dream that armed men captured me.
i thought naaa that cant be right. so i went.
guess what? i got captured by armed men!!!

Istikhara is very beneficial. I met a brother last week who made Istikhara on whom he should marry and saw the girl hes married to now in a dream (he didnt know who she was at the time of the dream). The brother is an Alim, Alhamdulillah.
Another brother inquired about investing in a candle factory. He was told to make Istikhara and he saw a dream that a person was coming towards him with a candle in his hand and halfway through a wind blew, and the candle went off and fell from his hand. He was given interpretation and told not to invest. In the meantime, he person who wanted him to invest found another investor and started a small factory. 2 weeks later he passed away! The new investor lost all his money.

for those that dont know there r conditions required for istikhara. first of all u need to be a practicing muslim. u need to read not only 5 times salat but also tahajud, u need to be clean from sins and u need to eat halal tayub food. we muslims do not fit this criteria so istikhara is not for us. istikhara has become a trend but people forget that u need to meet the conditions first before u can do istikhara. otherwise u get it wrong
