Match made in Heaven... Islam?

Asalaam'u'alaiykum,

Hope some brothers and sisters can help me on this site.
This is more out of curiosity than anything else.

I have been informed that the following origniates from Islam?

'match made in heaven' .. or a similiar kind of phrase..

Now I have tried researching Quran and Hadith for any authenticity but i haven't been able to find anything that would remotely imply this.

Can anyone shed any light?

Brother it would be easier if you tell us what you exactly mean? Match made in heaven is a phrase that means different things to different people. So what does it mean to you?

Jazakallah brother for taking the time to reply.
I will look at the links....
I still don't think I have been specific enough .. i understand the concept of free-will and pre-destination .. what i want to know is .. has Allaw SWT paired us up in heaven or paired our souls up before our life begins ... and then here one earth the partner we marry is the one has Allah has paired us up with? does that make sense?

That's exactly what I would like to know.
I cant ever recall reading a hadith about this .. can someone clarify please?
