I must say that this discussion forum doesn't inspire much confidence or optimism. Most modern thinkers are simply confused by the
sheer quantity of data pouring in from every directions.- random quotes from atheists, christians, barelwis and salafis.
Since it is not humanly possible to keep up with all of this data- let alone make sense of it- people are forced
to retreat into mindless argumentation or a form of relativism and outright nihilism.
What we should have realised is that no amount of empirical informationcan nullify the insights of sapiential sense. These
insights are transmitted from the time of Wahy to Muhammad(saw) thorugh chains with preservation in every time and place
by the ulema and suleha who preserved the deen from the extremities of the sufis or the externalists etc.

But the type of discussions here paralyse the progress of true Ilm.
Cicero said that there is no opinion so crazy but that some philosopher has expressed it- why then enmesh the awaam in all of this?

The sahaba had different temperaments and the Sunnah is so vast -no one group of people can encompass it.

I suggest that we do the following

People who's hearts incline towards da'wah
1) Participate in the work of Tableegh and verily they have among them men of Tazkiyyah and Ilm- and benefit from it.
That the tableeghis don't support ilm is clearly a lie, as We see A madressa in Dewsbury, and one in Raiwind . We see Hafiz Patel
Made his son into an aalim, and we see him giving the dua in the Khatme-Bukhari.
We see one of the few ulema who understood modernity deeply and understood islamic history in a very detailed
and comprehensive manner-Shaykh Abul Hasan Ali Nadawi(alayhi Rahmah) defending and praising tableegh so much so much so much.
We see ShaykH Yunus Saharanpuri ,the muhaddith of our age calling it The Jihaad of the Tongue and allowing it to be called going
fee sabeebilillah

Those whose hearts yearn towards Ilm-Maybe Mufti Taqi sahib's way or Mufti Zarwali Sahibs way , Or Shaykh Yusuf Motala Sahib's way
2)Goto a madressa or learn arabic and pursue Ilm
Some might spend years immersed in Nahw or Sarf or Fiqh Al Lugha.
Some in Fiqh , Some in the persian poetry etc etc

3)Those whose hearts gravitate towards spirituality-There are many
-Do lots of dhikr, avoid bid'aat and find a man of Allah(swt) who your heart inclines towards so he can help you
develop further.

4)People who are not interested in any of the above but good hearted

Follow the sunnah, Love the muslims, Pray for the hidayah of the Ummah, Pray the salah in the masjid 5 times a day, and gives lots of
sadaqah
---Some of these maybe muslim artists who can sing halal nasheeds
Some may be calligraphers who can write beautfiul aayahs/art
Some may be doctors/volunteers who can do chairty work

Cities where Tableegh and Khanaqahs and Ulema exist would then form a basic spiritual infrastructure from which
other things would organically develop.

There's really no time to complain- The work is vast and the need is urgent.

Insha'allah
