Friend of mine from Chicago gave me the link to this site. During college life Hazrat Shaykh Azhar Iqbal db use to sing for musical band but once attended Hazrat Shaykh Zulfiqar Ahmed db MEHFIL in New York. That day was turning point of his life and now Mashallah he is Alim and Shaykh. ALLAH O AKBAR. Alhamdulillah, I also have BAYAH with Hazrat Ji Shaykh Zulfiqar Ahmed db khalifa Hazrat Ji Dr. Shaykh Nadeem Qureshi db. He has great, humble, God conscious personality. Sad that they dint give the author of those lyrics his due.. it was Written by Hazrat khwaja Aziz ul Hassan majzoob (rah) Khalifa of Hazrat Thanvi (rah) from his book ' Kashkol e majzoob '. I guess none can ever beat Hazrat Maulana Ihtishamul Haq Thanvi sb (rah) ( nephew of hazrat Thanvi rah. ) when he read that in a huge majlis with zikr e jahri reverbrating in mass when he says la ilaha ilallah..
the best poetic verse according to hazrat maulana thanvi (rah) written by hazrat khwaja majzoob was - ' Sab tamannayen dil se rukhsat hogayi.. abh to aaja ab to khilwat hogayi..' Hazrat Thanvi (rah) says that if if had 2 lakh rupees.. he would have gifted it away to hazrat khwaja majzoob (rah) for this verse..
