Bismillah hir Rahmaan nir Raheem. Allah humma Salla ala Muhammad
Here are some interesting duas for anyone who struggles to find words when the time for dua comes especially in Ramadan. These English duas may help you and you can add to them as you wish.
Please note: These duas are NOT duas of the Prophet Muhammad (Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam), but rather duas I have heard people make and some of which I make myself. Use them to inspire yourself to ask more from Allah especially in the month of Ramadan - when duas are readily accepted.
Bismillah hir Rahmaan nir Raheem. Allah humma Salla ala Muhammad.
For Forgiveness:
O Allah, Oh Most Merciful of those who show Mercy Your mercy is much vaster than my sins, I have hope in Your forgiveness; Please forgive me.
Oh Allah, please forgive me for the major sins that I have committed, the minor sins that I have committed, the sins that I have committed knowingly and unknowingly. Oh Allah, please forgive me for my past sins and my future sins.
Oh Most Merciful of those who show Mercy Please forgive me for every sin that I have committed that you have knowledge of. Oh Allah, please forgive me for every sin that has been recorded in my book of deeds.
Oh Allah, please forgive me for the sins I have committed against your creation. Oh Allah, I forgive those people who have wronged me - You forgive them too. And Oh Allah, I ask You as the Master of all creation to forgive me on behalf of all the people I have wronged.
For Jannat etc
Oh Allah through you mercy, please save and protect me from the Fire of Jahannum. Oh Allah, please save and protect me from the punishment of the grave.
And Allah, through your mercy, please grant me Jannatul Firduas without reckoning. Oh Allah, You who is in control of my every limb and action I beg you to make me do those actions that will earn your mercy and pleasure such - that through them you will enter me into Jannatul Firduas without reckoning.
For good health
Oh Allah, Oh Most Merciful of those who show Mercy Please cure me from all sicknesses and diseases. Oh Allah please cure my heart, my lungs, my digestive system, my respiratory system, my excretory system, my reproductive system, my nervous system and every drop of blood and organ in my body.
Oh Allah, protect me from all sicknesses and diseases for indeed all sickness is from You and cure is from You as well.
Oh Allah, protect me from ever having to go to a doctor to get cure and protect and save me from ever needing to be admitted in to a hospital. Oh Allah, save me and protect me from weakness in old age.
Oh Allah, please cure me spiritually as well as physically.
For Martyrdom
Oh Allah, please accept me to be an accepted Shaheed fighting in jihad on your path for your pleasure.
For a wife (Girls youll need to use your own imagination).
Oh Allah, please through your mercy accept me to get married. And Oh Allah please provide for me the money and means to get married, for verily you are the sole Provider.
Oh Allah please grant me a pious, pretty, beautiful and obedient wife obedient to You and me.
Oh Allah, grant me a woman, who through Your Mercy, fears You and through Your Mercy has protected her modesty and chastity in public and private in the past and who will, through Your Mercy, continue to protect her modesty and chastity in public and private in the future.
Oh Allah, grant me a wife who will be a means of me earning good in this world and the good of the hereafter.
Oh Allah, send such a wife to me through your Mercy, put love between us and grant us a successful marriage. Oh Allah remove the differences between the two families and Oh Provider of Everything, please provide for me the money and means that is required for the wedding, mahr and everything else that you have knowledge off.
For sustenance
Oh Allah, please through you Mercy grant me my sustenance with ease, and remove any difficulty in me earning it. Oh Allah, bless me in my earnings and save and protect me from earning haraam sustenance.
For love of Allah
Oh Allah, please remove all the things you dislike from my heart and put love for you in my heart.
For Hajj
Oh Allah, please accept me to perform an accepted Hajj and provide for me the means, money and transport to complete it verily Oh Allah, you are the only provider and without your help I will not be able to do anything.
For general goodness
Oh Allah grant me your mercy and love in this world and Oh Allah grant me your mercy and love in the hereafter.
Oh Allah, please grant me a share in all the mercy, love and goodness you send down to this world; and Oh Allah please grant me a share of all the mercy, love and goodness You have kept in the hereafter.
Oh Allah, protect me from your anger, wrath and all the punishments you send down to this world; and Oh Allah please protect me from your anger, wrath and punishments that You have kept in the hereafter.
For guidance
Oh Allah, Oh Giver of Guidance, I am lost please guide me on to the path that will bring me closer to you. Oh Allah, please place me on the same path that You guided Prophet Muhammed (Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam) upon, and take me in the same direction that you took him. Oh Allah, please keep me steadfast once you have guided me.
Oh Allah, I beg you to give me a clear understanding of your religion and a clear understanding of the wisdom of your Quran.
Death with iemaan
Oh Allah, please grant me death with iemaan. Oh Allah, save me and protect me from the whisperings of shaitaan at the time of death. Oh Allah, let me die with iemaan and let me be resurrected with iemaan on the Day of Judgement amongst the people you are pleased with.
Protection from hypocrisy etc
Oh Allah, save and protect me from hypocrisy, pride, kufr, shirk and bidah.
For easy reckoning
Oh Allah, I beg You to judge me on the Day of Judgment through Your Mercy and Not through your justice. For verily if you have to question me with justice, then indeed I will be a loser for verily I have not even come close to fulfilling my duties unto You Oh Allah. But Oh Allah, if you judge me with Mercy, then even I as a sinner can have some hope verily Ya Allah You are the Most Merciful.
To thank Allah for His bounties
Oh Allah, I Praise you and I thank you for all the favours and bounties You have bestowed upon me. Oh Allah I cannot count the favours and bounties you have bestowed upon me, I cannot realise the full extent of the favours and bounties that you have bestowed upon me and neither can I praise You as you deserve to be praised for verily You are as You have praised yourself.
I only through Your Mercy can acknowledge that you are the sole provider for all the favours and bounties that I have received Alhamdullilah, Alhamdullilah, Alhamdullilah Alhamdullila hir Rabbill Alameen.
Note: Remember Durood (Salaat and Salaam upon Prophet Muhammed (Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam)) before and after you duas.
