Walaykum asalam sister. The only reason i say its hard is because im struggling to learn more about Islam in general in depth without any help from anyone who knows their stuff. I hope Allah s.w.t helps me before it is too late for myself.
you know what sis? Allah ta'ala will definitely help you, keep it going and where the laws of menstruation are concerned, it is compulsory on us women just as if we were going to hajj, to find out the laws concerning hajj would become incumbant..dont worry, the last resort is to consult learned Ulama when we do not know ourselves!

it sounds as if Sis Starlight is a new muslim or a muslim that just steped out of ghaflah. sometimes its good to start off right at the begining with a teacher who could guid you. the reason we have teachers even in the most basic levels is because they add on useful & sometimes very necessary info that is not ciovered in the text. I dont know what the subcontinent scholars recomend as a tarteeb in seeking knowledge but I will tell you what my sheikh recomends & then maybe you can find Hanafi equavalents.
Fiqh: 1. Risalatul Jamiah 2. Safinatun Najaa
Aqeedah: 1. Aqeedah al awaam
tajweed: hidayatul mustafidh , with normal recitation to a person who is qualified
hadith: 40 of Imam Nawawi
tasawuf: bidayatul hidayah.
we should never try to study on our own we should always use a guid who has taken the path & knows the way. if you cannot find a teacher & it isnt possible to do online lessons then you should read books & study them on your own but make lots of salawaat. the salawaat in this case is the key to hikmah. you know for every salawaat you make Allah sends 10 more to you. well when Allah makes salawaat it is by means of rahmah. Allah will favor you & those whom Allah favors he grants them understanding of deen.

I did a bit of studying & my wish is to go deep into fiqh. then start a business that does require much work on my side so that I can focus on teaching fulltime.
I am busy with something but its kinda tough. I couldnt find people to teach the bit that I know so I startd sending mails. the mails are on fiqh, sifinatun Najaa. I am doing my own sharh on it from the notes that I made & its pretty much a nock off translation of the sharh. My friends & teachers are guiding me along the way because Im not qualified to do this.
I go to shafi'fiqh. com regularly. & cant see what the other link is (http://www.esnips.com/web/ShafaeMadhab), Im at work now & some sites are blocked.
Is your boss aware that you are stealing his time to surf the net?Im at work now & some sites are blocked.
There is no limit to what a man can achieve, as longs as it does not matter who takes the credit for it!
