In Indonesia women are allowed to go to masjid for taraweeh. Even in many Indonesian masjids, almots a half of jama'ah are women.

Rasulullāh (sallallāhu alayhi wa sallam) has stated: “Salāt of a woman performed in the darkest (inner most area) of her house is most beloved to Allāh” (Sahih Ibn Khuzaimah)

so women should try to do whats best for their iman and most beloved to Allah, whether the ulama allow something or not.

Ulama in Pakistan do not allow women to go to masjid for prayers. Because of the Hadith of Hazrat Ayesha رضي الله عنها, she says that if Rasool Allah was alive today he would have stopped women from going to masjids.

It is better that women pray at home

It is better that women stay at home, however, the Prophet SAW and the sahaba never forbade the woman from going to the Mosque.

Hazrat Umar رضي الله عنه stopped his wife from going to Masjid. Khair, our purpose is to gain the pleasure of ALlah, so we should try to do what is best in our deen and brings us closer to Allah.

He attempted to stop his wife, but not the women of Madinah.

Permissibility aside-I genuinely don't understand women who insist on going to a Mosque to pray, if they know it's far more superior to offer Salat at home. Seriously, how can they be bothered?

I remember Mufti Navalur Raman saying something along the lines of this:
If men were told they didn't have to pray in the masjid and they could pray at home and they'd get more reward for it, then which one of us is so crazy that we'd come to the masjid?
