hadith "if you know what I know you should laugh very little and weep a lot" ???

I just found a link and must admit that i'm heavily confused!

until now, i only know the first part of that hadith that says "if you know what I know you should laugh very little and weep a lot"

now, that second part gives the whole hadith a complete new meaning!

i have to admit, i never heard anything of "ibn hiban"... can anyone tell me something about the authors of that book and the soundness of that hadith?

it is ibn hibban, not ibn hiban. it is a famous hadith book from early stages of islam.

once you know a hadith, don't complain abt its authenticity at first, rather verify it and if it is not true then only make complain.

Though I have not verified he hadith, to me the hadith is authentic.

i wasn't complaining about the hadith. sorry, if it seemed so...

the only thing is, until now i only the first part of that hadith - i guess, like most of us... but the second part - when jibreel comes - gives everything a totally different meaning!
