Exclamation All Muslims have a responsibility to free Muslims of Nepal from a climate of fear

ALL MUSLIMS HAVE A RESPONSIBILITY TO FREE THE MUSLIMS OF NEPAL FROM A CLIMATE OF FEAR AND OPPRESSION

Nepal shares its borders with India and China, and under the influence of these countries has for years been applying a repressive policy toward Muslims. More than a million Muslims live in the country, 80% of whose population are Hindu and 10% Buddhist.

Nepal used to be officially Hindu and was a monarchy until 2008. In that year the monarchy came to an end and the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal was founded. Until 2008, Nepalese Muslims had no rights at all, and their religious identities were denied by the Nepalese monarchy. But as soon as the new administration came to power it announced it would treat Muslims with understanding and even fulfill certain of their demands. Yet fanatical Hindus were uneasy at this democratic approach of the new government and the official adoption of laicism, and stepped up their acts of violence against Muslims and carried out a string of fascist attacks. These racist fascists opened their attacks with the mosques; in March 2008 they hurled four bombs at a mosque in Biratnagar in which more than 50 Muslims were praying, thus causing the martyrdom of three Muslims and dozens more to be injured. In the time that followed, many mosques in the towns of Biratnagar and Bukraha, which have substantial Muslim populations, were attacked by radical, racist Hindu organizations. In 2004, these racist groups set fire to houses, workplaces, associations and mosques belonging to Muslims.

The oppression of Nepalese Muslims by these fascist organizations is still going on. Nepalese Muslims are constantly being harassed by racist Hindus and are engaged in a major struggle to preserve their religion and are trying to survive as Muslims despite all the pressure on them. In particular, Nepalese people who have converted to Islam from Hinduism are subjected to intense pressure from both their families and society as a whole.

Three out of more than 50 Nepalese Muslims who were praying in the Choti mosque in Biratnagar when it was attacked in 2008 by racist Hindus during the time of the evening prayer were martyred, and dozens more injured.

Muslims in Nepal must unite without delay and call on the whole Muslim world to be unified.

Muslims in Nepal are still living as different communities and have no representative on religious matters. There is no doubt that what Nepalese Muslims, who believe they are not fairly represented in Parliament and who wish to enjoy rights under the new Constitution and enjoy its protection, need to do is to establish a powerful unity among themselves without further delay. Allah has made this an obligation for all Muslims:

Hold fast to the rope of Allah all together, and do not separate. Remember Allah’s blessing to you when you were enemies and He joined your hearts together so that you became brothers by His blessing. You were on the very brink of a pit of the Fire and He rescued you from it. In this way Allah makes His Signs clear to you, so that hopefully you will be guided. (Surah Al ’Imran, 103)

On the other hand, our Nepalese Muslim brothers must fervently pray for all Muslims in the world to be united as soon as possible and must encourage this unification of the Muslim world as a matter of the greatest urgency.

Muslims’ most urgent duty is to establish the Turkish-Islamic Union in order for the sufferings in the world to end

The Nepalese have recently been living in disorder brought about by fanatical Hindus who want the return of the monarchy and Nepal to be a Hindu country once again, and who are inciting people along those lines. This is of course a matter of close concern for Nepalese Muslims who want the country to attain democracy right away and thus to see their legitimate rights restored to them. We hope that the country will make steady progress toward democracy and that our Muslim brothers will attain a climate of well-being in which they can freely live by their faith.

However, it must not be forgotten that it is a clear and urgent fact that the only solution for the liberation of all Muslims who are oppressed is for the Islamic world to come together under a single roof. Muslim unification is the only answer to terror, disorder and restlessness. Such unity will certainly bring peace, brotherhood, friendship and solidarity to both the Islamic world and to all the countries of the world. In order for the climate of brutality, violence and fear to which Muslims are subjected in dozens of countries to come to an end, it is essential that Muslims be united and establish the Turkish-Islamic Union. Muslims everywhere in the world must see this and do all they can to bring it about. Otherwise, the Muslims of the world will assume a heavy spiritual responsibility with every passing day, and will assume a heavy burden in the Sight of Allah.

Nepalese Muslims who want to be free to live by their faith and achieve a climate in which they can raise future generations in peace and security...

Once again, why "Turkish-Islamic Union" and not just Islamic?

Turkish leadership will be based on love, affection and compassion and will bring about peace and tranquility

Turkey’s increasing influence in recent times and the way it has come to occupy the leading position in its region may be misinterpreted, particularly by some people in the Western community, leading to unnecessary concerns entering the agenda.

Turkey’s historic legacy and existing political, economic and geographical conditions make it the natural leader, not just of this region, but of a very wide one ranging from Chad to Indonesia and from Sudan to China, and of the whole Islamic world. However, today is in the part, Turkey’s conception of leadership is one based on truth and justice, that protects the innocent, that follows a rational and moderate line, that embraces not just Muslims but people of all faiths and beliefs, that treats everyone with love and protects everyone’s fundamental human rights and that seeks to establish peace and well-being for all communities.

Turkey does not possess the conception of leadership based on the oppression of peoples seen in certain colonialist empires in the past. There has never been a conception of administration that conflicted with, oppressed or exploited other peoples in Turkish history. The Turks brought with them a civilization based on love, compassion and understanding wherever they went, and never sought to impose their own culture and beliefs. In the times of both the Seljuk and Ottoman empires this conception of justice and affection the like of which was unknown in the Europe of the time predominated right across the empires. At a time when Jews and Muslims were persecuted and forced to convert, when those who refused were killed or exiled, Jews, Christians and Muslims under the Ottoman flag lived together in peace and brotherhood. Jews persecuted in Europe were rescued by ships specially assigned by the Ottoman sultan, and an environment was established for these ruthlessly oppressed people in which they could live in peace and security and worship in freedom. In the same way, Christians weary of the oppression of different sects found the warmth and understanding they sought under in lands under Ottoman rule. Anyone looking at history through unbiased eyes will clearly see this, a result of superior moral values based on the Qur’an and the Sunnah of our Prophet (saas). (For further details on the subject, see www.turkishislamicunion.com )

Today, too, Turkey is a role model for the Islamic world with its conception of Islam that is in complete harmony with the moral values of the Qur’an and will protect the rights of Jews and Christians in the finest manner. With its laic and democratic nature it will establish a climate in which people holding different ideas can express these freely and create a conception in which everyone is treated as a first-class citizen. With its devotion to justice it will protect the wronged, though that protection will come about in the most rational, moderate and reasonable manner. As required by the moral values of the Qur’an it will protect the rights of all who feel the need, not just those of one particular community, section of society, ethnic group, belief or sect. It will act as older brother to Christians and Jews, as well as Muslims. It will build a climate in which Armenians and Greek, Russians and Americans, Israelis and Europeans and China and India can all live in the most comfortable, secure and peaceful manner. Under Turkish leadership, everyone will benefit, not just the Turkish nation or the Muslim world.

Turkey’s conception of leadership is not based on racial superiority or the idea of "we want to be the leader and everyone must obey us." Turkey’s conception of leadership is not one that incites conflict and prepares the ground for anarchy and terror. Turkey’s conception of leadership is not an unbending one that encourages a failure to resolve problems. Turkey’s conception of understanding is one that demands to serve and suffer hardship, that seeks peace and well-being for others even if it experiences troubles itself, that is based on self-sacrifice and altruism and that is peaceable and full of love.

The Turkish-Islamic world, that knew and longs for the peace and security it enjoyed in Ottoman times, is aware that that Turkey is best suited to the role of leadership over this wide territory and population. Turkey will bring all the sects in the Islamic world together as brothers, will unite all communities and conceptions around a moderate and reasonable line and will prevent terror, radicalism and violence. It will be an effective bridge between East and West and will have the spiritual power to eliminate prejudices and doubts that various parties hold regarding one another. No other country apart from Turkey has the historical, political and cultural infrastructure to perform this task. It is for these reasons that Turkey is the only answer to the question "Who should be the leader?" in the Turkish-Islamic world. Turkey is also the answer to the question to be asked in the West of "Who do you want to see as leader in this region?" Because all rational people of good conscience and common sense are aware that Turkish leadership will benefit both the Turkish-Islamic world and Western civilization.

The period ahead of us will be one in which Turkish spiritual leadership increasingly grows and develops, as frequently stated by both Western and Eastern thinkers. However, it needs to be reiterated that this is a spiritual leadership, one that takes the form of an older brother. That leadership will guarantee peace, tranquility, well-being and security. United under Turkish leadership, the Turkish-Islamic world will embrace the whole world with love and affection and enable a very wealthy, highly developed and enlightened civilization to be constructed. Our hope is for this union, that will manifest the love, compassion and justice of Allah in the finest manner, to come about at once and to be instrumental in the immediate ending of all negativities that inflict pain and suffering on people.

a long time ago Mufti Zubair Dudha of Islamic Tarbiyya Academy was invited by the IMWS (indian muslim welfare society, an umbrella organisation that control most of the masajids in batley,uk) to do a talk. there has been a long running feud within the IMWS where a few of its members are against the 'Indian' within its name and say that it should be just 'Muslim'.

at the time Mufti Zubair was very young and did not have as many students and supporters as he has today. but he was independant and was not tied down to any committee or organisation.

so he went for the talk which if i remember correctly was held in madina masjid in batley.

he started the talk (in my own words from what i remember)........

Some people say that we should not have the 'indian' in the IMWS. *hushed silence everywhere*
i say they are wrong. we SHOULD have 'indian' in the IMWS. * smiles and cheers everywhere.* *high fives, vuvuzalas, streamers, bravo bravos ( in the hearts anyway)*
BUT! we shouldnt have 'muslim' in the IMWS because i dont see anything muslim about it!

Mufti Zubair was never invited again!

anyway, apply this to the Turkish-Islamic Union. its all the same.

There is no claim to racial superiority in the Turkish-Islamic Union

According to the Qur’an, it is a religious obligation for Muslims to be united. Foundation of the Turkish-Islamic Union will bring great strength and power on Muslims and also bestow well-being on Christians, Jews, Armenians, Russians, Americans and, in short, all communities. However, this union would not, by no means, be based on racial superiority. The fact that the Turkish nation will assume the leadership of this union does not stem from any racial or genetic superiority it may have, and is solely due to its moral superiority, desire to serve, wish to undergo hardships and conception of justice. It must not be forgotten that the Turkish nation discharged that great duty in the finest manner over hundreds of years in Ottoman days. Historic and existing political conditions make the Turkish nation, the natural leader of the Turkish-Islamic Union. Beyond these historical truths, however, our Prophet (saas) has also revealed that the Turkish nation will assume major responsibilities in the End Times.

what makes a turkish-islamic union superior to say a kurdish-islamic union or a yemeni-islamic union.

Why do the turks get the lead role in this world-wide islamic union?

Secondly, what makes you think the turks deserve this leadership role in an islamic union? The turks had a leadership role in an Ilsamic Union a few decades ago, I dont know if youve heard of this union, but it was called the Ottoman Empire - and the turks in their "moral superiority" gave it away to the kufar - and formed a secular union under the leadership of Ataturk.

So why would a new central islamic union be handed once again to a nation which bans hijab and beards in public buildings, why not give it to a nation which has demonstrated a firm, staunch, unwavering commitment to the sunnah from the beginning - like the Afghans - or the Yemenis in Hadramawt?

This is not to say all Turks are bad or all Afghanis or Yemenis are good - but as a collective nation - there are nations that have held tight to the rope of Allah through many trials - and are much more deserving of a leadership role than the turks.
