    Assalamu alaykum,
One of the thing that Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam used to do is to constantly turn the focus of sahabas radiallahu anhum from the dunya to the akhirah. We must also constantly talk about akhirah so that we have the same fervour for the hearafter like the sahaba radiallahu anhum.

The Last Sermon Of Prophet Muhammad (Salla Allahu ta'ala alayhi wa Sallam)

This sermon was delivered on the Ninth day of Dhul-Hijjah, 10 A.H. ( 623AD) in the Uranah valley of Mount Arafat in Mecca. It was the occasion of annual rites of Haj. It is also known as the Farewell Pilgrimage.

After praising and thanking Allah the Prophet (PBUH) began with the words:

"O People! Lend me an attentive ear, for I know not whether after this year I shall ever be amongst you again.

Therefore, listen carefully to what I am saying and take these words to those who could not be present here today."

"O People! just as you regard this month, this day ,this city as sacred ,so regard the life and property of every Muslim a sacred trust. Return the goods entrusted to you to their rightful owners. Hurt no one so that no one may hurt you. Remember that you will indeed meet your Lord, and that he will indeed reckon your deeds."

"Allah has forbidden you to take usury, therefore all interest obligation shall henceforth be waived. Your capital is yours to keep.

You will neither inflict nor suffer any inequality. Allah has judged that there shall be no interest and that all interest due to Abbas Ibn 'Aal-Muttalib be waived."

"Every right arising out of homicide in pre-Islamic days is henceforth waived and the first such right that I waive is that arising from the murder of Rabiah ibni al-Harithiah."

"O men! the unbelievers indulge in tampering with the calendar in order to make permissible that which Allah forbade, and to prohibit what Allah has made permissible. With Allah the months are twelve in number. Four of them are holy, there are sucessive and one occurs singly between the months of Jumada and Shaban."

"Beware of Satan, for the safety of your religion. He has lost all hope that he will be able to lead you astray in big things so beware of following him in small things."

"O People it is true that you have certain rights with regard to your women but they also have rights over you. Remember that you have taken them as your wives only under Allah's trust and with His permission. If they abide by your right then to them belongs the right to be fed and clothed in kindness. Do treat your women well and be kind to them for they are your partners and committed helpers. And it is your right that they do not make friends with any one of whom you do not approve, as well never to be unchaste."

"O People! listen to me in earnest, worship Allah, say your five daily prayers, fast during month of Ramadan, and give your wealth in Zakat .Perform Haj if you can afford it."

"All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a White has no superiority over a Black nor a Black has any superiority over a White except by piety and good action. Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood. Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim which belongs to a fellow Muslim unless it was given freely and willingly."

"Do not therefore do injustice to yourselves. Remember one day you will meet Allah and answer your deeds. So beware, do not astray from the path of righteousness after I am gone."

"O People! No Prophet or apostle will come after me and no new faith will be born. Reason well, therefore O People! and understand words that I convey to you. I leave behind me two things, the Quran and the Sunnah and if you follow these you will never go astray."

"All those who listen to me shall pass on my words to others and those to others again; and may the last ones understand my words better than those who listen to me directly."

"O Allah, be my witness, that I have conveyed your message to Your people."

As part of this sermon, the prophet recited to them a revelation from Allah, which he had just received, and which completed the Quran, for it was the last passage to be revealed:

This day the disbeliever's despair of prevailing against your religion, so fear them not, but fear Me (Allah)! This day have I perfected for you, your religion and fulfilled My favor unto you, and it hath been My good pleasure to choose Islam for you as your religion. (Surah 5, Ayah 3)

The sermon was repeated sentence by sentence by Safwan's brother Rabiah (RA), who had powerful voice, at the request of the Prophet and he faithfully, proclaimed to over ten thousand gathered on the occasion.

Towards the end of his sermon, the Prophet asked "O people, have I faithfully delivered unto you my message?"

A powerful murmur of assents "O Allah! yes!"arose from thousands of pilgrims and the vibrant words "Allahumma Na'm," rolled like thunder throughout the valley.

The Prophet raised his forefinger and said:

"O Allah bear witness that I have conveyed your message to your people."

Allah say’s in the Holy Quran:

Do not follow your own desires and deviate from the truth. If you twist or turn away, Allah is aware of what you do. (Surat an-Nisa', 4:135)

We did not create the heavens and the earth and everything between them as a game. We did not create them except with truth but most of them do not know it. (Surat ad-Dukhan: 38-39)

Did you suppose that We created you for amusement and that you would not return to Us? (Surat al-Muminun: 115)

Allah tells us in the following verse that those who do not believe in the Qur'an's verses are liars:

Those who do not believe in Allah's Signs are merely inventing lies. It is they who are the liars. (Surat an-Nahl, 16:105)

All thoughts return to you- my beloved my ideal Rasullullah Sallalahu allahi wasalam.

Diving deep into the realm of thought
when i find emptiness, confusion and doubts
    making thinking a burden
    my thoughts return to you
    and i find peace.
    Exhausting the faculties
    of sight, hearing and feeling
    when all seems meaningless
    my thoughts return to you
    and i find meaning.
    My heart when loaded
with the burden of my sins
making it difficult to go on
    my thoughts return to you
    and I return to life.
    Losing all my supports
with nobody to back me up
    when I feel stranded
    my thoughts return to you
    and I feel so loved.
    The temptations being too strong
    the invitation to sin irresistible
when I am about to fall
    my thoughts return to you
    and I change my path.
The heat of sins so fiery
    the world around all set
    to melt away my imaan
    my thoughts return to you
and I get that coolness back.

"The turtle-dove sings its lament at dawn, and weeps.
My tears disturb her sleep and her tears disturb mine.
When she and I complain, we understand not each other.
But I know her grief and she knows mine."

Those who take hold of him have grasped a rope that shall never break.

All of them come and take from Allah's Messenger a handful of his ocean or a sip of his continuous rains.

For the superiority of Allah's Messenger has no limit that a speaker can express with his mouth.

Creation is, in truth, powerless to understand his secret. You will not see any near him or far, except it makes them bewildered.

As the sun appears small to the eyes from a distance, and yet exhausts their sight upon a second look.

    VIRTUES OF TAHAJJUD
    by Moulana A.S. Chohan

RASULULLAH'S [SALALLAHU ALAIHI WASALLAM) IBADAH AT NIGHT

Hadhrat Mugheerah [radhiyallahu anhu] narrates, "Rasulullah [salallahu alaihi wasallam] stood in Salaah at night until his Mubarak feet would swell." The Sahaba inquired, "Why do you exert yourself to such an extent when Allah has forgiven your past and future errors?" Rasulullah [salallahu alayhi wasallam] replied, "Should I not be an appreciative servant [of Allah]. [Bukharie; Muslim]

Rasulullah [salallahu alaihi wasallam] is the most beloved creation of Allah Ta'ala. His actions, words and even his silence are regarded as deeds of worship in the Grand Courts of Allah Ta'ala. Although being sinless and privileged with Divine assurance of forgiveness, yet he exerted himself in standing for long hours in Tahajjud as a token of appreciation for the grace and mercy of Allah Ta'ala.

"Allah Ta'ala has forgiven your past and future errors" does not imply that Rasulullah [salallahu alaihi wasallam] was not sinless [Na'oodhu billah]. Ulama have given many explanations the easiest of which is, "The deeds of even the pious are regarded as a sin for those who are close to Allah Ta'ala [Khasaa'ile Nabawi]

"Should I not be an appreciative servant of Allah" signifies that when Allah Ta'ala has granted me so many favours and blessed me with forgiveness should I not then worship Him in gratitude. [Ibid]

    Hadhrat Allie [radhiyallahu anhu] said,

"IBADAH PERFORMED TO ATTAIN JANNAH IS THE IBADAH OF A TRADER, IBADAH PERFORMED FOR FEAR OF JAHANNUM IS THE IBADAH OF A SLAVE, IBADAH PERFORMED IN APPRECIATION OF ALLAH'S BOUNTIES IS THE IBADAH OF A FREE MAN." [Mazaahir]

THE LENGTH OF NABIE'S [SALLALLAAHU ALAIHI WASALLAM] IBADAH

Hadhrat Ataa [radhiyallahu anhu] relates, "I once requested Hadhrat Aaisha [radhiyallahu anha] to relate an admirable action of Rasulullah [salallahu alaihi wasallam]." She replied, "Which action of Rasulullah [salailahu alaihi wasallam] was not admirable?" Thereafter she said, "One evening Rasulullah [salallahu alaihi wasallam] returned home and slept with me in my sheet. A little while later he said, "Forget it, I will worship my Creator. Saying this he got up, performed Wudhu and engaged himself in Salaah. He began weeping [in Qiyaam] to such an extent that the tears began to flow onto his Mubarak chest. He then performed Ruku and Sajda while the tears flowed. He stood up from Sajda [for the second rakaah] and the tears still continued to flow. He persisted in this condition all night until Bilaal came out to call him for the Fajr Salaat. Hadhrat Aaisha said, "I asked, "Why do you cry so much when Allah Ta'ala has forgiven your past and future errors?" He replied, "Should I not be an appreciative servant.” Thereafter, he said, "Why should I not do so when these verses were revealed to me today and he recited "Inna fee Khalqis samawaat to the end of Surah Aali Imraan." [Khasaile Nabawi p 153]

Many Ahadith have prohibited one from exerting oneself more than one can bear. The reality of the matter is that man has been created specifically to worship Allah Ta'ala. Allah Ta'ala says, "I have only created Jinn and men so that they may serve Me." [51:56] When this is the original purpose of man's creation then any amount of labour exerted in worshipping Allah will be regarded as praiseworthy. Those Ahadith in which prohibition has been recorded refer to such laborious exertion which result in frustration. Frustration causes total negligence. Therefore it is related in a Hadith, "Perform Ibadah as much as you can bear." Allah Ta'ala will grant rewards so long as there is no frustration experienced when engaged in devotions to Him. In Rasulullah's [salallahu alaihi wasallam] case there is no question of frustration for certainly "Salaah is the coolness ofhis eyes. " Moreover Salaah is a sacred dialogue with Allah Ta'ala.

Another reason for the prohibition of unbearable exertion in devotions is that it may cause weakness which will hinder other important religious obligations. [Khasa'ile Nabawi]

Hadhrat Hudhaifah bin Yamaan [radhiyallahu anhu] relates that one night he performed Salaah with Rasulullah [salallahu alaihi wasallam]. After commencing the Salaah, Rasulullah [salallahu alaihi wasallam] recited,

"ALLAHU AKBAR ZUL MALAKOOTI WALJUBROOTI WALKIBRIYA'EE WAL AZMATIJI”

Translation: Allah is the Greatest! The Absolute Owner of Sovereignty, Omnipotence, Majesty and Magnificence.

He then recited Surah Baqarah [after Fatiha]. Thereafter he went Into Ruku. His ruku was as long as his Qiyaam [the standing posture]. In it he recited "SUBHANA RABBIYAL AZEEM-SUBHANA RABBIYAL AZEEM." He then lifted his head from ruku and stood [in Qaumal as long as his Ruku. He recited "LI RABBIL HAMD." Thereafter he performed Sajda. His Sajda was as long as his Qiyaam. In it he recited "SUBHANA RABBIYAL ALAA - SUBRANA RABBIYAL ALAA." He lifted his head and sat [in Jalsa] for as long as his Sajda. In this posture he recited "RABBIGH FIRLEE - RABBIGH FIRLEE."

Rasulullah [salailahu alaihi wasallam] completed this Salaah having recited Surah Baqarah, Aali Imraan, Nisaa, and either Surah Ma'idah or Anaam." [Shama'il Tirmidhi Baab Fi Ibadah]

Note: Evidently, it seems as though Nabie [salallahu alaihi wasallam] recited these four Suras in four rakaats and this is corroborated by a narration in Abu Dawobd which states, "Nabie [salallahu alaihi wasallam] performed four rakaats. In it he recited Surah Baqarah, Aali imraan, Nisaa, and either Surah Ma'idah or Anaam." [Abu Dawood - Mishkaat p.1071. However it is stated in a Hadith of Muslim Shareef that Nabie [salallahu alaihi wasallam] recited Surah Baqarah, Nisaa and Aali Imraan in a single rakaat. [Muslim vol.1,p 264]. It becomes apparent that these two narrations refer to two separate occasions. [Khasail e Nabawee]

THE MANNER OF NABIE'S [SALALLAHU ALAIHI WASALLAM] RECITATION

Yahya bin Mamlak relates he asked Hadhrat Umme Salamah [radhiyallahu anha] about Rasulullah's [salallahu alaihi wasallam] Qiraat [recitation]. She described it as being clear with each word recited separately. [Shamail Thirmidhi Baab Fi Qiraah]

Note: Hadhrat Umme Salamah [radhiyallahu anha] may have explained the manner of Nabie's [salallahu alaihi wasallam] recitation verbally or she may have demonstrated it by actually reciting as explained in the next Hadith.[Khasail e Nabawi p 184]

adhrat Umme Salamah [radhiyallahu anha] said, "Rasulullah [salallahu alaihi wasallam] recited every ayah separately. He recited ALHUMDULILLAHI RABBIL AALAMEEN and paused. AR RAHMANI RRAHEEM and paused. MALIKI YAUMIDDEEN and paused." [Shama'il - Baab Fi Qira'ah]

Note: This Hadith elucidates the fact that Nabie [salallahu alaihi wasallam] recited each ayah distinctly with extreme ease. [ref. Khasa'il e Nabawi p 185]

Hadhrat Qatadah relates, "I inquired from Hadhrat Anas bin Malik [radhiyallahu anhu] about Rasulullah's [salallahu alaihi wasallam] recitation. "He replied, "He would lengthen the letters of "Madd" [Shama'il Baab Fi Qiraah]

Note: It is only possible to lengthen the letters of Madd when one recites with composure and care. The commentators of Hadith have stated that there are several laws applicable to the Madd and these have to be given due consideration. Both, laxity and exceeding the bounds set by the Shariah are abhorred. [Khasa'il p.185]

Hadhrat Abdullah bin Abi Qais relates, "I inquired from Hadhrat Aa'isha [radhiyallahu anha] about the recitation of Nabie [salallahu alaihi wasallam], did he recite softly or audibly?" She replied, "He recited both softly and audibly." I said, "All praise be to Allah who has granted ease in the matter." [Shama'il – Baab fi Qiraah]

Note: A narration of Tirmidhi elucidates the fact that the questioner intended asking about Nabie's [salallahu alaihi wasallam] recitation in Tahajjud Salaah. Hadhrat Aa'isha's [radhiyallahu anha] reply that Nabie [salallahu alaihi wasallam] recited both softly and audibly may imply that in one night he chose to recite both softly and audibly, or on some nights he recited audibly and on others softly.

To perform Tahajjud in both modes are correct. However, considering the time of its performance, it is preferable to read in an audible tone, more so when it is intended to encourage others or to create vigour in ones devotion. On the contrary, if disturbing others or vanity is apprehended, soft recitation is preferable. [Khasa'il e Nabawee p 186]

NABIE'S [SALALLAHU ALAIHI WASALLLAM] REPETITION OF ONE AYAH

Hadhrat Aa'isha [radhiyallahu anha] relates, "Once Nabie [salallahu alaihi wasallam] repeated one ayah the entire night in Tahajjudd."[Shama'il - Baab fi Ibadah]

Note: in one narration, Hadhrat Abu Zarr [radhiyallahu anhu] relates, "Once Nabie [salallahu alaihi wasallam] remained standing in Tahajjud the entire night, repeating the following ayah until the break of dawn." [O ALLAH, IF YOU PUNISH THEM, THEY ARE YOUR SERVANTS, AND IF YOU FORGIVE THEM, YOU ARE THE MAGNIFICENT, THE WISE." I said, "O Rasulullah [salallahu alaihi wasallam], you repeated this ayah the entire night. You even recited it while performing Ruku and Sajda. Nabie [salallahu alaihi wasallam] said, "I requested My Rabb to grant me SHAFAAH [intercession] on behalf of my Ummah, and it has been granted *INSHA ALLAH- on behalf of those who do not ascribe any partners to Allah." [Ibne Katheer vol.2]

This ayah will be submitted by Hadhrat Isa [alaihis salaam] in the Grand Court of Allah Ta'ala on the Day of Judgement. That day will be a phenomenon of Allah Ta'ala's attribute of Justice and Forgiveness. These two attributes were prevalent in the mind of Nabie [salallahu alaihi wasallam] while reciting this ayah. [Khasail e Nabawi p 163]. Hence, Nabie [salallahu alaihi wasallam] sought Allah Ta'ala's forgiveness on behalf of his Ummah. [Mazahir Jadeed vol 2]

    NABIE'S [SALALLAHU ALAIHI WASALLAM] WEEPING

Hadhrat Abdullah bin Shikheer relates from his father, "I went to Rasulullah [salailahu alaihi wasallam] while he was performing Salaah. The sound like that of a boiling pot emitted from his chest because of his weeping. [Shamail Baab Bukaa]

Note: This was the result of Nabie's [salallahu alaihi wasallam] extreme humility. This condition prevailed upon Nabie [salallahu alaihi wasallam] when Allah Ta'ala's attributes of Jalaali and Jamali [Exaltedness and Graciousness'] appeared together. [Khasaile Nabawee p 189]

May Allah Ta’ala through His infinite Grace and Mercy, accept this humble effort, and make it a means of Hidayah for this sinful servant, those who made this publication possible and the entire Ummah of our beloved Nabie [salallahu alaihi wasallam].

Wasalallahu alan Nabie yil Kareem wa ala Aalihee wa Ashabihee Ajma'een.
Verily, Allah and His angels shower blessings on the Prophet. O Believers! send blessings upon him and salute him with a worthy salutation". (Qur'aan - 33:56)

    Source: Fazail - e - darood maulana zakariah khandalvi rahmatullahialih;
    -----------
From the Qaā’id Qāsmiyyah of Hujjat al-Islām Mawlānā Qāsim Nānawtwī (may Allāh have mercy on him) the founder of Darul Uloom Deoband, I present before you a few verses of the famous Qaā’id Bihāriyah. It consists of over one hundred and fifty verses and to write all of them is difficult. If you wish to read all of them, refer to the original book. I am relating just over sixty couplets, which clearly display Mawlānā Qāsim Nānawtwī’s (may Allāh have mercy on him) profound and ecstatic love for the Noble Prophet (sallahualihi wassalam)
    ----------
Why should the nightingale of the garden not sing,
When every garden blossoms with spring?

    It gives everything its due share;
To some a leaf, to some a flower and to others it bears fruit.

In happiness do the birds dance and sing.
The trees are applauding with their leaves.

You have put out the blazing heat of the fire, O Lord!
Your benevolence you do not even deny your enemy.

This is nothing, for the true joy is that of the lovers now rejoicing,
Whose hearts were once always filled with the pain of separation!

This is the status of the meadow, the tree of Mūsā ,
Where the light of Your splendour shines with brilliance.

Thus, the colour of henna is evident in the garden,
Even though the leaves are green.

Can Ṭūbā (tree of Paradise) ever reach the status of the tree of Ṭūr?
Can the abode of a stranger ever equal the abode of the beloved?

Why should there not be a difference between the earth and the sky,
When the earth bears the weight of everything and the sky is a weight upon everyone?

Indeed, a mere particle of dust from the path of Muḥammad  has belittled
The sun and stars of the sky, putting the night and day to shame.

Indeed, ‘Īsā  and Idrīs  are present in the heavens.
But the majesty of Muḥammad  the Chosen One does shine upon the Earth.

The heavens may contain everything, but none can compare to Aḥmad .
The Earth may have nothing, but our Muḥammad  is present therein.

O Qāsim, praise him alone and leave the praise of all others.
Why look towards the greenery, the garden and the spring?

O Lord, Who can possibly praise him adequately,
He who is showered with your special affection?

    Had you not created him,
Never would this universe have been brought into existence.

How can our limited minds possibly comprehend his status?
How is it possible for our eyes to truly perceive the light from Allāh?

The light of our intellect is extinguished before the light of his splendour.
Our tongues are unable to duly express words in his praise.

If even the wings of Jibrīl  begin to burn at such heights,
How possibly can my thoughts reach such loftiness?

But if the Holy Spirit  assists me,
I shall also pen down a few couplets in his praise.

If Jibrīl  comes to my aid, I shall step forward,
Saying “O Leader of the Universe!”
You are the Pride of everything, the Essence of this world and for all time,
Leader of the Caravan of Messengers, King of the Righteous.

You are the scent of the flower, if all other Prophets are likened to flowers.
If they are compared to the sun, indeed you are then the very light of the sun.

The very spirit of life you are, if they are the life of all the creation.
Indeed, you are the pupil if they are likened to the eye.

Through your blessing was the universe created.
Wrong we are not in calling you the beginning of all life.

Everything was granted life from non-existence due to you.
Indeed your rank and spiritual progress were unparalleled.

All perfection has been placed in your being.
Your noble qualities are but a few in others.

No prophet has ever reached your status.
Even the great Prophets who worked miracles were unable to achieve your rank.

O Prophet of Allāh, all the Prophets take pride in calling themselves your follower.

The Hand of the Lord would not have touched the form of Adam
If your coming was not destined at the end.

Sayyidunā Mūsā requested the vision of Allāh
But Allāh Himself called you to His presence.

Can the pinnacle of Ṭūr possibly compare with the heights of your Nightly Ascension?
Has the Earth ever been comparable with the heavens?

How can the beauty of Yūsuf  reach your beauty?
Zulaykhā was entranced by his beauty whilst Allāh Himself called you to His presence.

Your true beauty was concealed in your human form.
    Allāh alone knows your reality.

No angel or prophet could possibly infringe your seclusion with Allāh, nor would Allāh allow it. Indeed, you are his beloved and others are outsiders.

The moon never attained your beauty even for one night,
Even though it makes it appearance on countless occasions.

But how can I ever deserve this good fortune,
For I am sinful as much as you are most perfect.

But even my sins though they may be great in number,
Cannot reach the number of your perfect qualities, O Leader of Both Worlds, King of the Righteous.

It is not inconceivable that due to your proximity to Allāh,
The sins of your followers will be counted as virtues on the Day of Judgement.

The wrongdoings of your followers will be such
That forgiveness unlimited shall rain upon even the smallest of sins.

Relying upon you do I tread the path of obedience,
For the sins of Qāsim are most heinous, and he is surely one of evil ways.

If sins are apprehensive of the wrath of the Almighty,
Then upon your intercession are the lovers hopeful of pardon.

I have committed sins greater than mountains,
But I have heard you will intercede for the sinners.
So greatly esteemed you are by the Almighty,
That whilst mankind commit sins, the angels seek forgiveness on their behalf.

Allāh holds your supplication in such esteem,
That for your prayers does He change the affairs decreed by fate.

Sinful and bad though I am, I am still yours.
Yes, I am insignificant, but despite this, I am still your servant.

Indeed it is an insult that my name be attached to the dogs of your city,
But honour for me lies in my being attributed to your noble being.

You are the best of all the creation, and indeed I am the worst.
Whilst you are the leader of both worlds, I am nothing but a worthless servant.

For many days have I yearned to express my feelings to you,
If I could possibly find a way to your blessed presence.

But where the sky is even lower than the doorstep
How can the destitute Qāsim even pass by there?

Allāh has bestowed you with the most exalted status.
Leader of all has He crowned you.

Who is there to care for us if even you do not give us your attention?
Who else can we turn to, to listen to our grief?

The dog of Satan pursues me,
My lowly desires hang around my neck like a snake.

Amidst the waves of hope and fear do I cling to the ship of hope,
That I also be considered amongst the dogs of Madīna.

I pray my life passes with the dogs of Madīna,
And that the insects of your blessed city decompose my body after I die.

May the wind blow my ashes after I die,
And scatter them around the Blessed Grave of the Prophet .

But how can even the remains of Qāsim attain this rank,
That they reach your holy city even in the form of dust?

No hope does there remain for this either,
I solely desire that my heart burns with the love of Allāh and in your love.

May the arrow of your love pierce my heart,
Shedding it into countless pieces, filling my blood with the intoxication of your desire.

May such a burning fire of your love strike my soul,
That were its one spark to touch the sky, it would turn it to ashes.

May I cry profusely in yearning for you, making me weak.
Let my eyes shed fountains of tears until my eyes remain no more.

Let not the desire of being the greatest of all shaykhs remain,
Nor should my heart long for the adornment of this life.

The moon was split into two by the gesture of your finger.
May my heart also be cleft asunder in such a way.

Stay within your bounds and compose yourself.
Control yourself and think carefully before you speak.

This is the place where utmost respect is to be upheld, so remain quiet. Leave it to him and don’t persist in your request.

Leave everything else and just conferṣalātupon him and his family,
Pleasing him thereby and his pure household.

My Lord, confer upon him and all his family
    Blessings that cannot be counted.

    Reflections of My Beloved Prophet
    by Sumaira Maghrabi
    USA

My role model, my revered prophet
    The light of God's eye
It is by mimicking your actions that

I strive to live and die
If I can just be a mere fraction
Of the person that you were
    My bounties, knowledge and goodness
    Will indeed commence to incur

No single unbeliever (black nor white)
    Can aid in your defamation
It is through God's eyes that you are
The key to human kind's salvation

    O Prophet, my beloved prophet
The Seal of all who came before you
    Your kindness, love and compassion
Cannot ever be surpassed nor eschewed

They have tried to denounce you
Yet your name is inscribed in the throne of God
Indeed they'll never know love will surpass hate
And their plan to vilify you is flawed

They can say whatever they want to say
    They will unfortunately never know
The love and admiration for you that
Will ALWAYS and FOREVER continue to grow

Burda read by Hamza Yusuf with a very beautiful amature video clip of Masjidun Nabwi Sallalahu Alaihi Wasallam.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wo6r8...eature=related

Could not help myself typed out for readers benefit: Apologies for any mistakes.

I envy the sand that met his feet
I'm jealous of honey he tasted sweet
of birds that hovered above his head
of spiders who spun there sacred web
to save him from his enemies

I envy clouds formed from seas
That gave him cover from the heat
of a sun who light could not compete
With his who face did shine so bright
that all was clear in pitch black night

I envy sight less trees that gazed
    upon his form completely dazed
Not knowing if the sun had rose or
if the sky was one with those
Who knelt and prayed and fasted to
simply because he told them to

    With truce and kindness, charity
from God who gave such clarity
his mercy comes in one who sent
To mould our hearts more heaven bent

I envy all there at his side
who watch the turning of the tide
as Truth prevailed and falsehood fled
and hope restored life to the dead
and men and women found there place
    with aspirations for Gods faiths

I envy the cup that gave him drink
His thoughts that helped us all to think
to be one thought that past his mind
Inspiring him to act so kind

For me this world is not one jot
if I could simply be a thought
from him to God throughout the ages
    as revelation came in stages

I pity all who think it odd
to hear him say there is one God
for he was sent by God to men
    to home their spirits acumen

It's pride that blinds us from the site
That helps all men to see his light

He taught us all to be Gods slaves
And he will be the one who saves
    Humanity from sinful pride
MUHAMMAD has GOD on his side

So on this day be blessed and sing
for he was born to graze our spring
    with lilies, flowers life’s rebirth
in a dome of green like his on earth
