Assalamualaikum…….
Allah has blessed Mohammad (SAW) with 99 parts of wisdom, and 1 part Allah distributed amongst all the humans of the world, Ulema say. What is this statement based on–on the Holy Quran or Ahadith, or both of them?

Answer:
Wa Alaikum As Salaam
This is not in the Holy Quran, and I have not read it in any hadith. The Prophet (SAS) was indeed the greatest Prophet and human being who was blessed with the greatest amount of knowledge, understanding and wisdom. However, with respect to the quotation you have given, I have not read it anywhere, nor have I heard it before.

Maulana Saad Kandhlawi mentioned the reference as Tafsir Mazhari for the Ayah [Surah Toor, 52:29] for the above statements.


Edit: I checked the online Urdu scans of Tafsir Mazhari on http://www.maktabah.org/quran/tafsir...l-mazhari.html for the above ayah as well as for other similar Ayaat like the second ayah of Qalam, and another ayah from Surah Takweer but could not find any mention of 99 parts of wisdom anywhere.

This is not in the Holy Quran, and I have not read it in any hadith. for getting this clarified. Like I said in my post that I had heard it in a bayan (at our Masjid). It's very possible that I may have misunderstood what the sheikh was trying to say or maybe he was saying it based on something he knows/heard/read. Most probably I misunderstood.

Beloved Prophet, may Peace and Blessings of Allah (SWT) be upon him, is a historical personality.
And that is yet another grand blessing of Allah (SWT).
By now all other Prophets (AS), and we believe in all of them as Allah (SWT) wishes us to believe, have been reduced to mythological level. By their followers.
And if some historicity is restored to any of them, say Prophet Musa (AS) and Prophet Isa (AS), the that too is because of our beloved Prophet Muhammed, may Peace and Blessings of Allah (SWT) be upon him.
And that should be rightfully taken as a miracle for once some thing is consigned to mythology it is cut-off from reality. Only a miracle can bring it back to the realm of history.

There has been, and it is still around, a hideous propaganda to obfuscate the historicity of the life of beloved Prophet Muhammed, may Peace and Blessings of Allah (SWT) be upon him. But when you read the Hadith literature the whole image that comes out clearly into open is such that even video recording would not do better. Video recording does not tell you much about the temperature, humidity and many things. It does not tell you much about how steep is the climb and many more things.

Preservation of Noble Qur'an includes preservation of its historicity and hence the Hadith literature. (A point completely at the blind spot for the Qur'anists).

And thus our beloved Prophet, may Peace and Blessings of Allah (SWT) be upon him, in his life story, has been preserved for us by our Lord Most High in the pristine life like form. As if each and every thing is happening just in front of our eyes.

And that is when we perceive the next miracle. A historical personality exists in flesh and blood. And when it resorts to obedience of God then that is the zenith of purpose of life. That is what he did - he reached the limits of achievements of mankind. May Peace and Blessings of Allah (SWT) be upon him.

And such a life becomes all the more awesome when the achievements are such that they look mythological in their sheer magnitude. That is our beloved Prophet (PBUH).
