Aj sik mitran di wadheri ae
    Kyon dilri udas ghaneri ae

Why is the yearning for the loved One (Holy Prophet ) is especially strong daily?
Why is my heart sadder today than ever before?

Loon loon vich shakh changeri ae
    Aj nainan layian kyon jharian

Why does longing penetrate every tissue of mine?
And why are the eyes shedding tears like a shower of rain?

Mukh chand badar shah shani ae

His face shines like the full moon
A brilliant light radiates from his brow

Kali zulf te akh mastani ae

His hair is black, and his eyes are bewitched and intoxicated
whiteTeeth are like string of pearl

Kithay meher ali, kithay teri sana
    Gustakh akhian kithay ja laRian

Where is (the humble) Mehr Ali to chant your praise
How impudent his eyes are to aspire to the heights of you Love!

Aisi soorat noon main jaan akhan
    Jaan akhan k jaan-e-jahan akhan

I am not sure whether I should call his

Many claim to have images of the tomb or grave of our Beloved Prophet (SAW). But Do You Really?

Sorry to the thousands who have these fake images in their homes, I dont like to be mislead and I'm sure you dont want to.

The Praise is for Allah and may peace and blessing be upon the Prophet of Allah, the members of his Family and his Companions and all those who proceed on his path.

As salaamu alaaykum wa Rahmah tu Lahi wa Baraakatu! Peace to all my brothers and sisters in Islam. I just wanted to take some time out to remind myself and others about the importance of taking the ‘Middle Course’ when it comes to praising Muhammed RasooluLah [SWS].

Narrated Anas: The Prophet said "None of you will have faith till he loves me more than his father, his children and all mankind." [Bukhari 2/15]

This is a clear indication that it is a part of Faith [Emaan] to love RasooluLah [SWS], but we are also told by Allah not to be excessive, as he says, “Muhammad is not but a messenger. [Other] messengers have passed on before him. So if he was to die or be killed, would you turn back on your heels [to unbelief]? And he who turns back on his heels will never harm Allah at all; but Allah will reward the grateful.” [3:144]

Sometimes in our Love for Allah & his Messenger [Muhammad-SWS] we make common mistakes and lose track of the course we’re supposed to be on. So for this we must help one another and remind one another because we are one Ummah. Besides that, we all have the same goal-Jannah [Inshaallah, Ameen!]

So, I must “…continue to remind, for surely the reminder profits the believers.” [51:55] and this is insurance for myself and others [Ameen].

Here are some reminders for us to take and reflect upon when praising RasooluLah [SWS] or as some do celebrate the birthday of RasooluLah [SWS] which is not legislated in Islam. There is an insensitive punishment from Allah for those who exaggerate love for Prophets, holy people, saints, etc.

The Sahaaba [Companions of RasooluLah [SWS] never celebrated RasooluLah [SWS] birthday or took him, RasooluLah [SWS] as an intermediary between themselves and Allah.

He [SWS] also stated, “O people! Beware of exaggeration in your deen, for indeed that which destroyed and annihilated those who came before you was exaggeration in the deen.” [Sunan Ibn Majah 2/1008] [Musnad Imam Ahmed 1/215]

Moreover, Narrated 'Umar: I heard the Prophet saying, "Do not exaggerate in praising me as the Christians praised the son of Mary, for I am only a Slave. So, call me the Slave of Allah and His Apostle." [Bukhari 55/654]

Allah says, “Yet there are men who take (for worship) others besides Allah, as equal (with Allah): They love them as they should love Allah. But those of Faith are overflowing in their love for Allah. If only the unrighteous could see, behold, they would see the penalty: that to Allah belongs all power, and Allah will strongly enforce the penalty.” [2:165]

We must believe like they believe and we must follow the Islam that they followed as our Lord says,

“And whoever opposes the Messenger after guidance has become clear to him and follows other than the way of the believers - We will give him what he has taken and drive him into Hell, and evil it is as a destination.” [4:115]

Whoever opposes Allah and RasooluLah [SWS] by not following the way of the Sahaaba will be left to the path that they have chosen and Allah says that path leads to the Jahaanum [Hell-Fire]. May Allah protect us, Ameen!

RasooluLah [SWS] said in an authentic Hadith, “Ask me of what I have anything you wish, I posses nothing with which to protect you from Allah.” [Al-Bukhari #2753-On authority of Abu Hurayrah]

RasooluLah [SWS] took so much time out to warn the Sahaaba of exaggeration in the deen when it comes to him RasooluLah [SWS] and other than him as he said, "Whoever dies while still invoking anything other than Allah as a rival to Allah, will enter Hell (Fire)." [Bukhari 60/24]

So it is clear from these Ayats [Verses] from the Qur’an & the clear Ahadith [Narrations] the dangers in ‘over-prasing’ and ‘over-loving anyone/anything INCLUDING RasooluLah [SWS].

Lastly I would like to leave you with a reminder from a tremendous Imam of the Sunnah, Nuʿmān ibn Thābit ibn Zuṭā ibn Marzubān A.K.A. Imam Abu Hanifa. He was a great scholar of Islam who clung heavily to the path of the Sahaaba.

Imam Abu Hanifa said, “It is hated for the supplicant [slave of Allah] to say, ‘I ask you [Allah] by the right of so and so’, or ‘by the rights of Your Prophets and Messengers’, or ‘by the right of the Sacred House and the Sacred Sanctuary.” (Sharhul-Aqeeditat-Tahaawiyyah (page 234).

As you can see, the Imam also advised us of the dangers of extreme love/praise to other than Allah.

May Allah increase us in all that is good and give us Jannah. Indeed Allah is Al-Ghaafoor Ar-Rahmeem! Ameen!
