How the four Madhabs(maslaks) originated ?
Assalamualikum,
I have a question about the four Madhabs.
1. How did the four madhabs came into being ?
2. Why the number limited to four ,there were great scholars at that time and contemporary ,why not six or more ?
Am a hanafi and i have asked these questions from many scholars but none gave a satisfactory reply.
Could anyone answer this for me.

I haven't read the book yet but just read the name of the author ,Maulana Mohammad Taqi Usmani.
I will read it inshallah in detail coz i like how he presents issues and the solutions to it ,very in depth approach.
