Default Maulid Nabiyy is Obligatory to every muslim

Maulid nabiyy (SAW) is compulsory to every muslim, because those that are celebrating it are not celebrating it because of anybody or anything (not for money, appretiation etc) but only FOR THE PROPHET'S LOVE. The love of the Prophet is Obligatory on every Muslim. Those regarding Maulid as bid'a are selfish, because everyday you will do bid'a atleast 10times from the time you wake up till the time you will sleep. what about bid'as like (Tafseer of Holy Qur'an, Women School's to mention but a few, lifting your trouser to your knee, as the salafi's did in nigeria) has the prophet or sahabas did any of these???

    Wallahu ta'ala a'alam

    As salaam alaikum wa rahmatullah,

Yes, and we display our love by following his Sunnah, not by initiating a Bid'ah!

I'll stick to the opinions of the classical scholars before I start calling people to the fire (cries of Bid'ah!) even on this thread or even saying that it is obligatory.

Classical scholars like Suyuti, ibn Al-Jawzi and ibn Kathir (may Allah be pleased with them) had views that would differ from most from this thread I am sure.

Did'nt Mullah Al-Qari (rah) write a book called "The Quenching Spring on the Birthday of the Prophet"?

    Allah knows best.
Abu Sa’id (ra) said that Rasullilah (salalahi alahi wasalam) said, “Whoever says:

Radeetu billahi rabban, wa bil-Islaami deenan, wa bi-Muhammadin rasoolan

Jannah becomes obligatory for him (to enter).
    [Abu-Dawud]

Why don't the deobandis just accept there to be a legitemate difference of opinion here? Allahu a`lam.

There was no person on this thread who said it's bidah. Actually the OP made the ridiculous statement that it is obligatory...just like how another overzealous sufi once stated; that whoever does not do milaad is a bidati...come on what kind of logic is that. Ibn Bayyah's fatwa on this topic was pretty good. Anyway the 2 parties will never agree....let's carry on with life...Read loads of durood, follow his sunnah sallahuwasalam, read his seerah, think about him in each breath, revive his deen....we all agree on thesee things....no ikhtilaaf here.

Are you trying to say that in defence of the title of this thread?

And by the way, can you describe the different practices that you would do on a Maulid.

“O our Rabb! Forgive us and our brothers who passed before us with Imaan. And do not place any impurity (ill-feelings) in our hearts against those who have Imaan. O our Rabb! Indeed You are the Most Forgiving, Most Merciful.”

Do you see the pro-miladi scholars accepting there is a 'legitimate difference of opinion' without them condeming the so-called wahhabis for not performing it? Do you see them stating that it is okay to call it an innovation? Do they say it is fine not to join it because many scholars deemed it as an innovation?

Please tell me about such a pro-miladi scholar who has stated that?

It seems you have a narrow-minded concept of how to deal with 'legitimate' difference of opinion, which even your own scholars hardly follow.
And if he were to ask for a gentle lady in marriage, he would be refused, and when he leaves the world it does not miss him, and if he goes out, his going out is not noticed, and if he falls sick, he is not attended to, and if he dies, he is not accompanied to his grave.

    As salaam alaikum wa rahmatullah,

Deobandis do accept that there is legitimate difference of opinion, one being Bid'ah and the other being Mustahab.
