Shuyukh of Deoband?

Reading the posts on this forum I get the impression that Mufti Taqi Usmani is the biggest or one of the biggest Scholars of Deoband alive today.

But who is at the top when it comes to the Sufi Shaykhs of Deoband?

The miracle of the Deobandi legacy is that most of it's Fuqaha and Muhadditheen are/were great Sufi Shaykhs at the same time and often vice-versa as well.

Hadrat Shaykh al-Islam Mufti Taqi Usmani is a Shaykh in Tasawwuf as well.

Anyway, there are loads of Deobandi Mashaykh in Tasawwuf, I doubt anyone can state with certainty and complete agreement who the "Top Sufi Shaykh" is; in the end, anyone would deem his own as such..

we dont have an overall top dog like the catholics. mufti taqi is a great scholar master in academics and a top shaykh in tasswuf. but in terms of seniority and company with our akbaair then a few names spring to mind are Allamah khalid mahmood, shaykh hakeem akhtar. there is also a maulana in pakistan i think his name is maulana kaiser he is in mid 90s and studied under maulana thanvi (ra). there is also one alim in leiceter who has the shortest sanad to shah abdul aziz dehlvi i think. there only 3 links between them. also in terms of piety and close to Allah (swt) ill add mullah muhammed omar ( hafizullah)

Who will supply the the following for Tableeghees & Non-Sufee Deobandees while the Sufees fight it out for the honour of “their Shaykh & their Tareeqa”?

We need to be entertained when the fight isn't interesting?
