Question Best of the Best Lectures?

    As Salaamu Alaikum

I am trying to put together a DVD with Islamic Audio lectures. I am looking for the best lectures, please give your input as to which lectures you have found to be exceptional , and if you have the link, please add it. It must be audio lecture and it has to be a specific lecture by a Speaker and not just a speaker. No youtube videos please.

If you can elaborate on which specific 'lectures' you found excellent, it will be highly appreciated, since it will make it easier for me put together, and also since speakers have more insight on certain subjects that others, sorry if I sound rude.

Insha'Allah, the Audience will be University Students, as I will try and hand out at the main Universities in South Africa. And the rest will be working class, meaning People who use e-mail everyday from secretaries to CEOs, since I have a mailing list, I will e-mail them and ask them to send me their postal addresses and I will post them a copy of the DVD, Insha'Allah it will be Double-sided so there will about 9 GB of space, which means I will need alot of lectures.

    Bro

Ah, Uni students. Those old chestnuts

I thought I'd recommend specific lectures for that audience.
They are in no particular order just copied from bookmarks.

I've tried to give a wide array of speakers (as students have low concentration span!) so hopefully they will not get bored with same voice.
If there can be such a thing as a "classic" lecture then hopefully these might be amongst the list.
Whenever I need an eeman boost then these are always ones I turn to.

Sex, Drugs, Rock and Roll - Abdur Raheem Green
Purpose of Life - Khalid Yaseen
Depression vs Contentment - Suliman Mulla
    Time Management - Muhammad Al-Shareef
Women In Islam - Yusuf Estes
    The Sahaba - Ahmed Ali
Money, Materialism, and Muslim Mindset - Ziaullah Khan
Debunking The Male Bias Myth - Yasir Qadhi
Backbiting - A form of cannibalism - - Riyadhul Haq
My way to Islam - Bilal Phillips
    Hamza Yusuf
    Anwar Al-Awlaki
    Dr Zakir Naik

Sex, Drugs, Rock and Roll - Abdur Raheem Green
Well known amongst the UK University circuits. When he first gave the speech he was a similar age to most of the students he was giving it to so what he had to say definitely chimed with the young audience

Purpose of Life - Khalid Yaseen
I'll be honest, I prefer other Purpose of Life lectures but every non-muslim that has heard this always finds it very clear. From what I understand, it was quite famous as quite a few people converted on the night he first gave this lecture.

Depression vs Contentment - Suliman Mulla
University is a difficult period. You will have incredible highs but huge lows as well.
    This talk never gets old!

    Time Management - Muhammad Al-Shareef
I love how this brother always conveys the message of Islam and the Prophet constantly reminding us that what the best reserach tells us to do nowadays was already practised 1400 years ago!

Women In Islam - Yusuf Estes
I can not help but smile when I hear this brother. I was fortunate enough to hear him speak at our mosque and he actually told us his dawah technique. "Make jokes, so their guards such as arrogance and pride begin to come down and then hit them with a 1-2 combo!". A lot of speakers approach this in a serious way but the truth is we are not the ones with the problem, it is the westerners - the brother definitely brings home this point.

    The Sahaba - Ahmed Ali
At University you need to be inspired. I could listen to this speaker tell stories all day all long.

Money, Materialism, and Muslim Mindset - Ziaullah Khan
University is full of conflicts. Important to know our priorities.

Debunking The Male Bias Myth - Yasir Qadhi
    Does exactly what it says.

Backbiting - A form of cannibalism - Riyadhul Haq
It is important to have these reminders. Way too much gossip happens at University.
    "Loose lips sink ships"

My way to Islam - Bilal Phillips
There are many revert/convert audios out there. They are all inspiring. I have just picked this one as I like this one.

Brotherhood In Islam - Salim Al Amry
"Cuz its all about the bruva-hood"

Living as a Muslim Youth - Imam Siraj Wahaj
Sorry, Bro. I could not find the audio for this and am unsure whether that is the title but I got this in my first ever Fresher Pack. All about how the future of the Muslim ummah is in the hands of the Muslim Youth. Very inspring. Hopefully a google around may help.

The following speakers, have so much material available that it really is a case of pick and choose.
Other memebers may be able to advise you further.

    Hamza Yusuf
Other members may be able to recommend a specific one. His style of speaking is quite calming as well. His journey to Islam is also very interesting.

    Anwar Al-Awlaki
    Take your pick. Great story-teller!

    Dr Zakir Naik
You have to choose one of his debates as the certainty with which he gives the answers and when he quotes the references are definitely eeman boosters.

There are lots of speakers out there. But, I have pciked the above mainly because their material is widely available. As a student once you hear a speaker and like his style you naturally want to hear more from him.

May Allah reward you for your efforts Bro.
Let us know the final full playlist as I am sure others would benefit.

    Walaikum salaam
