دعت المحكمة العليا عموم المسلمين في جميع أنحاء المملكة إلى تحري رؤية هلال شهر ذي الحجة مساء يوم السبت 29/11/1431هـ حسب تقويم أم القرى ، فإن لم ير فيُتحرى مساء يوم الأحد 1/12/1431هـ حسب تقويم أم القرى .
جاء ذلك في بيان صدر عن المحكمة العليا فيما يأتي نصه :
الحمد لله والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله وبعد : فنظرا للتقارير الواردة الى المحكمة العليا من اللجان المشكلة لترائي الأهلة في مناطق المملكة بمشاركة مدينة الملك عبدالعزيز للعلوم والتقنية المتضمنة عدم رؤية هلال شهر ذي القعدة لا بالعين المجردة ولابواسطة المناظير ليلة السبت 1/11/1431هـ حسب تقويم أم القرى ، ونظرا لثبوت دخول شهر شوال يوم الجمعة 1 / 10 / 1431هـ حسب تقويم أم القرى .
وبناء على الأمر السامي البرقي رقم 6605/ب وتاريخ 15/ 6 / 1430هـ وعلى قراري هيئة كبار العلماء رقم /2/ في 13/8/1392هـ ورقم / 108/ في 2/1/1403هـ وعلى لائحة تحري رؤية هلال أوائل الشهور القمرية الصادرة بقرار مجلس الوزارء رقم 143 وتاريخ 22/8/1418هـ ، فإن المحكمة العليا بالمملكة العربية السعودية ترغب من عموم المسلمين في جميع أنحاء المملكة تحري رؤية هلال شهر ذي الحجة مساء يوم السبت 29/11/1431هـ حسب تقويم أم القرى الموافق 6/نوفمبر تشرين الثاني /2010م ، فأن لم ير فيُتحرى رؤية الهلال مساء يوم الأحد 1/12/1431هـ حسب تقويم أم القرى الموافق 7/نوفمبر تشرين الثاني /2010م .
وترجو المحكمة العليا ممن يراه بالعين المجردة أوبواسطة المناظير إبلاغ أقرب محكمة إليه وتسجيل شهادته لديها ، أو الإتصال بأقرب مركز لمساعدته في الوصول الى أقرب محكمة .
وتود المحكمة من جميع المترائين الانضمام الى اللجان المشكلة في المناطق لهذا الغرض ، وتأمل ممن لديه القدة على الترائي الإهتمام بالأمر والمشاركة فيه والإحتساب لما فيه من التعاون على البر والتقوى .
والله الموفق ، وصلى الله وسلم وبارك على نبينا محمد وعلى آله وأصحابه أجمعين .

Riyadh, Dhu Al-Qa'dah 26, 1431/ Nov 3, 2010, SPA --The Supreme Court has called on all Muslims in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to sight the crescent of the Lunar Month of Dhu Al-Hijjah on Saturday evening 29/11/1431H according to Umm Al-Qura Calendar, but if not seen at that date it should be sighted on Sunday evening 1/12/1431.
In an announcement issued today, the Supreme Court also requested whoever sees the crescent of Dhu Al-Hijjah to report to the nearest court and register his testimony, or report to the authority of the region’s governorate if there is no judge in the area where he sighted the crescent in order to facilitate reaching the nearest court.
The Supreme Court also urges all Muslims to sight the Crescent for the cooperation of all in righteousness and piety.

They want Muslims to start sighting the moon on the 28th of the Month...
You must be wondering WHY on Earth would you sight the moon on the 28th?
BECAUSE In Saudia on the evening of Friday 8th of October 2010, it was 29th of Shawwal and no announcement was made. 26 days later TODAY (03NOV2010) it has been announced that the moon was not sighted via naked eye or telescope.
The announcement today implies that 29th of Dhul-Qadah SHOULD BE on Sunday the 7th of November BUT the "Pre-Calculated Calender" says that 29th of Dhul-Qadah SHOULD BE on Saturday the 6th of November so people are being asked to sight the moon on the 28th!
And people remain none the wiser!
None of this is actually translated or implied in English statement which is very brief.
