Thumbs up Healing with the Medicine of the Prophet

    Asalam Alykum,

I just saw that brother colonel has already opened a thread regarding this topic, I was thinking of doing it. But Brother colonel is mashaAllah always ahead in helping others. JazakAllah khairun brother.

I have a book "Healing with the medicine of the Prophet" which is one the best books concerning the prophetic medicine. So I thought of writing small peices so everyone can benefit in sha Allah.
I will continue to do so if you find it helpful.

Book: Healing with the Medicine of the Prophet -
Author: Imam Ibn Qayyim Al Jauziyah
Edited by: Abdul Rahman Abdullah Formerly Raymond J. Manderola (fordham univeristy USA)

The book is divided into these sections:
    1. Kind of dieases
    2. Using Natural Medicines.
    3. The prophers guidance on using divine Raqyah
    4. Alphabetic listing herbs, fruits and others

I will type in everyday and in small chunks so one can read quickly.

Watermelon/Bittikh............................... Abu Dawud and At Trimidhi narrated that the Prophet PBUH used to eat watermelon with ripe dates, saying:

"The hotness of this substance (dates) neutralizes the coolness of that (Watermelon)" -
    (mentioned to be authentic hadith)

Explanation: 1. Green watermelon is cold, wet and sweet. It also works as a cleanser for stomah and intestines.

    2. Watermelon departs from the stomach quickly and blends with what ever substances are present in stomach.

3.It is beneficial to eat watermelon when it is warm but when it is cold, its better to have it with ginger to offset its harm.

4.Watermelon should be eaten befoer the meals, otherwise it causes nausea. This is also mentioned by Doctors that eating watermelon before meals in beneficial.

    Pomegranate/Rumman
Allah swt says "In them (both) will be fruits and date palms and pomegrantes"
Also Ali RadhiAllah unho was reported to have said "Eat Rumman with its pulp because it coats the stomach"

    1. It is a mild constipating agent.
    2. It is good for throat, chest and lungs and also relieving cough.
    3. It helps increase semen production
    4. Should not be given to those who have fever
    5. Rumman juice when cooked with some honey until it becomes like ointment and used as eye drops, it will clear the yellow colour, when placed on gingival (gums), it will help against rashes
    6. When Rummans seeds are mixed with honey, they can get rid of malignant ulcers.
    7. Rumman flowers also have healing powers - It is said if one swallows 3 Ruman flowers each year, he will be immune from opthalmia (conjuctivitis) - for an entire year.

Asalam Alykum Everyone, I hope everyone is smiling and having a good day insha Allah.

The Prophet's guidance on Physical activity

    1. Physical activity is one of the best ways to remove the toxic clogs in our body, the body feels energetic, it optimizes the intake of food, firms the joints and strenghtens the muscles and ligament.

    2. Moderate physical activity immunizes the body against ailments and mood changes
    3. Physical activity should be done after the food is digested
    4. Every organ or body part has its own suitable "activity".. for example

Chest needs recitation, where one should start speaking with low voice and hence gradually increase the tone and volume. Similarily hearing needs to hear various sounds from low to high pitch like hearing tilawa. Hence initially, legs also need slow pace of walking, and increasing it gradually.

    5. Horse Riding, Archery, wrestling and running sports are for the whole body, these sports dissipate chronic ailments such as leprosy, dropsy and constipation.

    6. Likewise, our hearts need different kind of sport - Love, courage and kindess are among the best sports for the inner self.

    7. No doubt, prayer preserves the health of the body and helps dissolve bodys excess and residual substances. Standing up for prayers at night also preserves health

    Our beloved Prophet SAW said:

"Satan ties 3 knots at the back of the head if he is asleep. On every knot he reads and exhales the following..'the night is long so stay asleep'.. when one wakes up and remembers Allah swt, one knot is undone. When one performs ablution, 2nd knot is undone and when one prays, the 3rd knot is undone and hence once gets up energetic and with a good heart otherwise one gets up lazy and with a mischievous heart"
    8. Fasting preserves the heart and body..Jihad, Juma'ah, helping others, visitin the sick, following funerals, walking to the mosque all have great benefits including those of physical activity.

The Prophet's Guidance On Treating Sadness, Grief And Depression In the Sahihain it is narrated that the Messenger of Allah swt stated that:

"There is no diety worthy of worship except Allah swt, the most Great, the most Forbearing. There is no diety worthy of worship except Allah swt, the Lord of the Mighty Throne. There is no diety worthy of worship except Allah swt, the Lord of the seven heavens, the Lord of the Earth and the Lord of the honorable Throne"and Abu Duwud narrated in his Sunan that Abu Bakr related from the Prophet SAW that he said:

"This is the supplication of those affliected with distress, "O Allah swt, I seek your mercy. Do not make me reliant on my own self for an instant and lead all my affairs to success, there is no diety except you"..My keyboard is not arabic enabled so il have to type it in Roman

"Allahuma, Rahmataka Arju, fala takilnee ila nafsee tarfa ain wa asley lee shaani kulu, La ilaha ila antey"Also..

.............."La ilaha ila Anta, Subhanaka ini kuntu min adhalaymeen"......

..No muslim man would supplicate with it concerning a matter and would be postively answered by Allah swt"

Whenever the Prophet SAW would be concerned about a matter, he would turn to prayer

Furthermore, Allah swt said "And seek help in patience and As Salat - the prayer"
