One question though. at the end of salah how come certain salafis dont turn both ways when you say salama alaikum warahmatalla wabarakah?
I heard one notorious salafi scholar (in birmingham) say that there is no evidence that you have to turn to your right AND lefT?

I'm not a scholar but the last sentence is from a scholar.
The translation of Assalam u alaykum warahmatullah is as follows 'May the peace and mercy of Allah be with you'. This means the peace is being sent to all the world on the right of the one who is praying and peace to be sent to all the world on the left of the one who is praying.
The prayer legally ends with the first salam, but giving the second salam is necessary (wajib).
AllahuAlum. The Salafi like to play with the deen and like to show the rest that they are more knowledgable than the rest of the Ummah.

    Example
If I said to that The cat jumped on the book and it fell, What would you make of this statement. What fell, the cat or the book? What ever your answer, the Salafi would say no, you havent got it right. They like to play with words.

In the Maliki madhhab one only says "as-salamu 'alaykum" to the right (and not the left) when praying as the imam or alone, so that is a valid position.

I've read that the second salam is not wajib; only one (the first) is.
    "Nur al-Idah" says so too.

I have also heard saying as salamu alaikum wr to the right technically ends salah and turning to the left and saying is a sunnah.

If for Shafi'is the first Salam ends the prayer - if they are praying behind a Hanafi imam who does sajda sahu, will their salah end if they do the salam before going into sajda?
