Hi
I am not a Muslim yet, but I am really interested in becoming one. As I understand Islam is not only religion, it's a complete way of life, so I would like to learn more about Islamic economics and especially Islamic politics. What is desired, what is permissible, and what is forbidden.

So here are my questions:

1. Is Islam in favor of "big" or "small" government? I mean: to what extent implementation of sharia should concern the government, as opposed to religious leaders of local communities?
2. To what extent an ideal Islamic state should be a welfare state? I know that zakat is obligatory, as is the basic provision of food and cloth to the poor, but is that all? Are the universal health care and education also obligatory?
3. Is it good or bad to get rich?
4. What form of government should be adopted?
5. Is slavery allowed?

I would also very much appreciate any links where I could find some more info on that topics.
