is it permissible to recite other duas in sujood, or just like in your heart recite allah forgive me? or anything like that.

I would like to know about this as well. Also can you make the dua in sujood in your native language?

QUESTION: I make salaatul hajaat salaat when need arises, Can I make dua in sajdah in Salaatul hajaat in English ?

ANSWER:It is not permissible to make Du’aa in any other language besides Arabic in the Sajda of any Salaat.

You may make any du’aa established from the Ahaadith and Qur’aan only in the Sajda of Nafl Salaat. (Fataawa Mahmoodiyah vol.16 pg.324)

QUESTION: How is it to make dua in Sajdah, i.e. making a special prostration for the purpose of dua?

ANSWER: In privacy such Sajdah could be made. However, one should refrain from it in the Musjid. In Durrul Mukhtaar it is stated: “It is Makrooh (reprehensible) to make such a Sajdah after Salaat, for ignorant people will believe it to be Sunnat or even Waajib.”
